Other News about gaming on Linux
Looking for turn-based, multiplayer Linux games that will work on 5+ year old hardware
I have an old linux machine for my daily driver at home. It works great. I'm wondering if there are any good turn-based games (I am an old person) I can play with remote friends, some of whom have health problems, so nothing twitchy. I am laid up in bed with a post-surgical complication for a few days. Thanks.

Deltarune Chapter 3, video cutscene isn't loading, Proton Hotfix didn't help?
I'm new to linux, started using Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS a few months ago. I'm booting the game through Steam using the family library sharing feature.
Tenna's intro fails to play the associated movie file, video or audio. The game does not crash, but it does zoom through the movie's subtitles too fast to read. (I had to be told to youtube the intro, or else I would have thought that the hyperspeed text was just the joke.)
I was given the suggestion to right click the game in my steam library and go to Properties > Compatibility > Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool > Proton Hotfix. This didn't fix it. I tried Proton Hotfix, Experimental, and 10.0-1 Beta.
I was also suggested to install an h.264 codec. This also did not fix it.
Do yall have any other suggestions? This issue is tedious to test since I have to sit through the game takes a long time to boot (might also be a compatibility issue), and I have to sit through the long walk through the cliffs and Ralsei's cutscene every time.
I was going to post this to /r/Deltarune but they have an absurd 5000 karma requirement to post new threads right now...

Will official steam os work fine for me If I only play games and browse the internet?
I know the site said It's only officially supported on Legion Go S, but I've seen a good amount of videos of people running it on desktops. And it looks nice and smooth compared to windows.
