I would like to switch to PikaOS...
Hi folks, I would like to full switch to PikaOS (I like the Gnome version) from Windows 11 but I have some questions that I hope someone can answer...
1) I have a 144Hz TV with FreeSync and an AMD 6950XT GPU. Can I use FreeSync like I do now on Windows by enabling VRR in the AMD Control Panel? What's the equivalent setting on PikaOS Gnome Version?
2) In the AMD Control Panel on Windows there is a section dedicated to overclocking/undervolting...Is there something similar on Linux so I can undervolt my gpu as easily and seamlessly as on Windows?
3) I have the Vader 4 PRO controller, will the supplied wireless dongle work? I absolutely don't want to use Bluetooth because of the huge input lag...
4) I have the HyperX Cloud Alpha gaming headset with its adapter as well, same goes for the Vader 4 PRO, will they work out of the box?
5) Will I be able to play online games like Battlefield 6 without getting banned for some reason if I'm not using Windows but using Linux?
These are the 5 fundamental questions for me to know whether to make the switch or not...thanks to anyone who is able and willing to respond...

Issues with halo mcc
So im having an issue when I try and login to my microsoft account I log in and it shows up with a blank Grey box and then after about 30 seconds it tells me currentreqeusts:102 maxrequests:100 Does anyone know how to fix this issue because I really wanna play the halo campaigns and ive looked on Protondb and people have said the game works and it opens but cant get past this. Ive verified the files and Uninstalled and reinstalled the game to no success. Also ive tried other xbox games like forza that require you to login with microsoft and those worked with no issues its just a masterchief collection issue.

Hosting a server through something like Radmin VPN / Hamachi
I want to host a dedicated game server for my friends and myself but I am unable to open ports (dynamic IP). For this reason I want to use on my linux machine something like Radmin VPN or Hamachi (but afaik Radmin does not work for linux and Hamachi does not work for my friend).
So which free software would you recommend to create a private network for me and my friends that would work both on Linux and Windows?

What's the VSync Interval equivalent of "dxgi.syncInterval" but in Vulkan?
For DirectX games, there is a convenient option to set VBlank interval for refresh rates for consistent frame pacing:
d3d9.presentInterval for DX9
dxgi.syncInterval for DX11 or later
Not sure what works for DX10/10.1
Is there any equivalent for Vulkan API or is frame limiting the only option

Linux mint / macro
Does anyone know a macro like tiny-task that i can used? iv'e been searching for quite some time now and i cant find anything. The closest one to tiny-task that i found was atbswp but i cant really use it because of its delay or just it being slow. Iv'e also used wine to download tiny-task itself and it works just it doesn't click or type only the mouse moves. Trying to get this to work on roblox lol

(EndeavourOS) Warframe crashes on launcher
Playing on Thinkpad T14 Gen 2 running EndeavorOS with KDE Plasma, 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1185G7 (8) @ 4.80 GHz, Intel Iris Xe Graphics @ 1.35 GHz [Integrated]

Tried the following: Proton Experimental/9.0-4/10.0-2/Hotfix/GE 10-25, enabling/disabling DX12 in launch settings, disabling shader pre-caching, none of them works

Performance difference between windows 11 and bazzite?
Hi! I'm really tired of windows and want to change to bazzite. I've heard so many different takes on performance. Some says it's better some it's the same and some that the games run worse. I've have a mid range pc and I only play cs2 and now I've played alot of arc raiders. I don't use this pc to anything else than gaming so I will turn this in to a pure gaming machine and I'm not very good at pcs so I'm looking to go with bazzite for that reason. Tho my pc is not the greatest I don't want to loose any fps. Especially in cs2..
Specs: ryzen 7 3700x rx 9060xt16gb 2x16g 3200mhz.

Moving to Linux
some GTA 5 Legacy mods dont work.
Im running the game on Linux, and i want to mod it, but some mods don't work.
Asis and dlls work, like dinput8, OpenIV asi and Script Hook V.
The skip intro mod works for me, except the uncap fps mod.
Mods like Visiual Paradise and Fixes & Improvements don't work, even tough i could've sworn they worked when i installed them on windows.
Also, OpenIV on proton doesn't add folders when i drop them in and created folders dont show up unless i first extract a file to somewhere, so how do i fix that too?

MelonDS is suddenly crashing anytime I try to open a ROM on it. This did not occur before.
Title says it all. It was working just fine a couple of days ago, I haven't changed any settings since first setting everything up, and now it just won't go. I would like to fix this soon, I'm very impatient and getting frustrated.

Minecraft drops FPS on fullscreen mode - Bazzite Gnome
Hey guys, I'm having this weird issue since the last gnome update, where If I play minecraft fullscreen it starts dropping frames like crazy, which makes it super stuttery.
did you have it happen to some of you as well? Any fixes I could try?
ETA: If I make any other window draw on top of minecraft while fullscreen, it doesn't drop frames either.

Just made the switch
I’ve had an Ubuntu setup as a file and Plex server on an old Mac device, but just set up a dual boot on my Windows 11 machine to dodge the AI ‘upgrade’.
Tried Kubuntu briefly, but installed Steam incorrectly so I wiped it and installed Bazzite. I can’t tell the difference between running Infection Free Zone on Windows or Bazzite.

[Steam Deck] Roblox sober lagging
Hey all, I recently installed sober on my steam deck lcd 512gb. Many people, including those that made the tutorials i followed seem to have no problem running any roblox game at a smooth 60fps. Yet for me, every single game i play is 60fps with frame dips - some worse than others.
I feel like something may be wrong here. There’s no way roblox of all things should be lagging on this thing right?
Can anyone relate or give some ideas to fix this?

At my wits end
Literally nothing I’ve tried or any OS I’ve tried have I been able to get to work with Vulkan/DirextX11 graphics.
I have tried Fedora, Cachy, Ubuntu, Mint, and every tutorial setup help and article I’ve found has been absolutely fucking useless.
My retired gaming laptop, Intel CoffeeLake i7 & bane of my fucking existence nVidia GP106M (GTX 1060 Mobile) has been passed down to my daughter to play Steam. Her two favorite games of course being the ones I can’t get to work worth a fuck.
Am I retarded? Incompetent? What the ever loving fuck am I doing wrong? I used Rufus to bypass Windows 11 upgrade which is what kicked this whole mess off, and the fucking morons at Microsoft bricked local users a week after I finally got this piece of shit working.
Is there anyone who knows how to make a fucking 1060 work with goddamn fucking Palworld or Harry Potter Legacies Jesus Christ this is ridiculous.

Does the extra overhead from Linux not being Windows overcome the performance loss of Nvidia drivers with DX12 games?
I ran Linux (Arch) for about a year, but returned to Windows due to wanting something curated more than my Arch install. I was basically constantly in fear of the next run of yay to update my system resulting in me having to reinstall.
I've now fallen victim to the new Windows Task Manager bug and I'm pretty sure this is my 13th reason.
If I return to Linux, I'm likely going to do so with CachyOS, so I won't be in fear of updates breaking things anymore.
What I am most worried about now is the performance of my RTX 4080.
I fully understand I'm going to lose things like HDR and VRR through HDMI because of the HDMI license issue, but what about FPS?
I can deal with running all of my displays through displayport as long as I can get 60FPS@2160p.
I want to play games like the Oblivion Remaster at max settings, 4K (DLSS Quality) @ 60 FPS. That means UE5, and I know how that's going to be a big ask.
