Missing DLSS features in InZOI

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 28 Mar 2025 - 5:02am

Hey, can anyone confirm that DLSS features are missing in InZOI when running the game with Proton?

Even a friend with an RTX 4080 can't find any DLSS options in the game, except for dynamic resolution which is definitely not DLSS.

Maybe anyone found a fix for this issue.

Also i found this in the GameUserSettings.ini:

PSA: If Steam stops launching on your 9070 XT today...

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 28 Mar 2025 - 3:24am

.. you may be using mesa-git and this breakage: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/12894

It is expected for Git to be broken from time to time. PSA because more people than usual are probably running `-git` since it is needed to fix a bunch of other stuff.

Is WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR still a thing?

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 28 Mar 2025 - 2:17am

Is this still possible to do in games that don't support FSR?

Also, how does it work? I have to lower the resolution in game right? Then it upscales it? Or do i leave the resolution on game to what i want it upscaled too and then the game gets rendered at a lower resolution?

I'm struggling with performance on Outcast New Beginning and I'm trying stuff.

Dx12, fps is all over the place 50-75 jumping wildly, but DX11 tanks it to 20 for some reason.

And I'm wondering how to enable fsr because the game doesn't support it...

Rise of the ronin 0xC0000005

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 28 Mar 2025 - 1:31am

Hey all!

So, when i want to enable fsr3 on RotR, i get a crash with that error code? I tried fsr 3.1 with the help of optiscaler, but instead of error code i get unbareable flickering.

Has anyone managed to enable fsr successfully?

My system: - latest version of bazzite (41.something, from March 25th i think) - rtx 3060 to - Ryzen 5800x3d

I've tried with both proton ge 9-26 and wine ge 8-26

Genshin Impact playable?

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 28 Mar 2025 - 1:24am

Hello experts

I have an Acer C720p Chromebook that I converted into a 'Linuxbook' by following the "Mr Chromebook" directions. (Installed Linux Mint Cinnamon according to his link)

I replaced the 16GB SSD with 256GB.

The 2GB RAM unfortunately is permanently attached to the motherboard.

A friend recently turned me on to Genshin Impact that I thoroughly enjoy starting to play on my Android phone.

I want to install the game on my 'Linuxbook' but I researched conflicting information in that some say it's possible, some say not.

The quality is not super important to me with this setup, just enough to play with it.

I am by no means a tech expert but I can follow directions.

Any easy way to get this up and running at all?

Thanks in advance for your kind assistance.

Crash when using Vulkan on XWayland on NVIDIA Laptop GPU offloading on Flatpak.

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 28 Mar 2025 - 12:50am

I have a laptop with the following setup:

  • Fedora 41 KDE
  • Linux 6.13.8
  • RTX 3060 Laptop GPU (570 drivers)

When running Flatpak Steam any game that uses Vulkan (or DKVK/VKD3D-Proton) on the dedicated GPU instantly crashes. This only happens on Wayland and works in Xorg. I thought that was fixed on driver 565 (https://www.reddit.com/r/linux\_gaming/comments/1i582ak/gpu\_offloading\_finally\_works\_with\_both\_vulkan\_and/). Was it only fixed for native Wayland clients and not XWayland?

And yes, I have matching version of Flatpak and system NVIDIA drivers.

32inch 1080p vs 27inch 1440p

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 27 Mar 2025 - 11:10pm

Currently running fedora GNOME and I have this MSI 240hz 1080p 32inch curved monitor and it's great, except I can't push 240fps in a lot of games like monster hunter (I care about visuals a little more and I'm not playing competitive fps games) And a guy offered a trade for a 27inch Element 1440p 165hz monitor and I'm rlly considering it. But I'm curious what would you choose? Bigger curved 32inch 240z or smaller better looking 27inch 1440p 165hz.

Discord Screeshare audio

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 27 Mar 2025 - 9:21pm

Discord is sharing my entire system audio when streaming. Is there a way to have it just share the shared application audio?

Gnome 48 on Wayland with a Nvidia GPU if that matters.

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 27 Mar 2025 - 8:23pm

I'm new to linux. I want to mod R.E.P.O, but can't find any linux specific tutorials. According to Protondb reports it's possible, but they don't show how.
