My controller doesn't make any input despite being connected.

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 5 Mar 2026 - 7:36pm

My controller is a Hori Switch Pro controller, and I'm connecting it by USB. My distro is Nobara 43

Can't change the preset buttons

After calibrating, all the preset values switch to 0 (Probably because it doesn't detect any movement despite me physically moving the joystick)

I just don't know how this program works

After connecting my controller to my PC it is detected and appears in the controller menu plus the input listings, but when I try to configure it or calibrate it I'm unable to do anything. I've installed joycond, but despite pressing the triggers or the +- symbols the green lights keep blinking and the controller doesn't pair. I've also installed and tried to do something with jstest-gtk and AntiMicroX, albeit I didn't know much of what I was doing.

I wondered if maybe the controller was broken, but after trying it with my switch I can confirm it works just fine.

Does a window manager impact gaming performance?

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 5 Mar 2026 - 6:21pm

Hi,

this might be a stupid question and I am 95% sure that the answer is "no", but is there a performance impact by switching from kde to hyprland?
