Hi! I'm trying to play MH Wilds for the first time on Pop!OS Cosmic Environment, but when I get to the select language screen it freezes and I get this error log.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

I already tried with steam parameters and updating the libraries.

Hey, just wanted to know if someone else experiences some perceived loss of performance while playing Dota2 on zorinOS.

What i mean by "perceived" loss of performance is that my game runs fine between 180-210 fps, i've checked with the in-game counter and the steam overlay counter, but it just FEELS like 45-50 fps, not even 60, and that's only in Dota2.

It ran fine on Windows and even Arch, i don't really know the reason why it's not working properly in zorinOS.

The screenshot is while playing RDR2 low voltage but 99% GPU usage how is that even possible I was using niri then I faced this problem like week ago I changed to Hyprland + Hyde project and still same thing does any one know why does that happened to me, I use Faugus-launcher and when I use steam it does that as well

Hi all, I'd appreciate some help here... So basically whenever I try to run an installer via Heroic it will run but then when the installer tries to extract the game contents it throws up the isdone.dll isarcextract error.

But when I go and open it with Wine Windows Program Loader the installer just works fine so it's an issue with Heroic specifically. I had installed wine (and it has an existing prefix that I'm using) long before I had installed Heroic (which was today cause I wanted to try it out and just have all my games neatly in one spot) so I don't know if I need to configure anything in that regard and I honestly have no clue on how to do that (and I've tried searching it up to no avail).

On some games I have to alt tab out and back in for my controller to work using proton experimental if that helps any my controller is a wired 8bitdo 2c

Hi, so I’m trying to play Epic Seven through Heroic but it won’t open anymore. The launcher doesn’t start in Heroic, and the game gives an error when I try to enter it.

Is there any way to fix this? Or did they block access on Linux?

Swap from Windows to Zorin OS for the "Out of box" Nvidia drivers support along with updates. Download Steam from the official steam website. Most of my games were on a secondary SSD drive before the OS swap that was labeled A and not the main C drive. There wasn't a need to download the games again and just sync them.

Started out with Wuthering Waves and checked which compatibility would work best notably Proton-GE latest and Proton Hotfix. Along with launch options like " SteamDeck=1 %command%" or gamemoderun %command%

Did not work at all.

Went through Nier Automata, Stellar Blade, Cyberpunk 2077, Titanfall 2, Palworld, No Man's Sky, and Ghost of Tsushima. None of them officially ran. They all were getting the Vulkan Shaders and then said they were launching and running to only not run. I have Hollow Knights from the GOG store that ran perfect because of course of a native Linux version.

Am missing something or should I wipe the steam files that previously were on Windows and may of read as NTFS file and reinstall each individual game?

I just wanna play games on a lonely Valentine's Day!!

I recently got an pc and wanted to try modded Bethesda games, I looked for tutorials on YouTube and there are many different methods and in the comments of each video there are people complaining that it dosen't work. before i started trying and error following every toturial until i found one that works i wanted to know if there is an standard popular method that most people use so i don't waste my time. whats the best way to do it?

Hi gamer friends.

Is it possible to improve Vulkan settings at the driver level on Linux?
For example, can we override a game's own settings to:

• Increase texture quality
• Set negative LOD bias to -1.25
• Boost AA transparency to something like 2x Sparse Grid Supersampling

…and generally enhance the graphics?

From my experience, even if I max out in-game settings, DXVK and VKD3D often don’t produce the best rendering quality.
However, while DXVK is limited, it does allow some configuration to control how graphics are drawn.

Example

d3d9.samplerLodBias = -1.25 d3d11.samplerLodBias = -1.25 dxgi.samplerLodBias = -1.25

I’m curious if anyone has experimented with driver-level Vulkan tweaks or environment variables to get better rendering results on Linux.

My gpu; Nvidia 4060 Ti.

Hey everyone

I'm running into a frustrating issue with CS2 on Linux. No matter what I do, VAC won't activate and `trusted_launch=0` shows in the console.

Here's the situation:

- Tested on Fedora 43 (Wayland, GNOME) and Linux Mint (X11)

- Steam installed via RPM, not Flatpak

- CS2 launched natively

- Fresh installs of both distros, no custom overlays and mods

Even on a completely fresh system, `trusted_launch=0` persists and VAC doesn't work.

Has anyone seen this before? Is this a Valve bug or something account-related on Linux?

Hey everyone,

I'm running Silksong on Linux using Heroic Games Launcher with GE-Proton. The keyboard works perfectly fine in the menus — I can navigate, select options, and even skip cutscenes. But once gameplay actually starts, keyboard input completely stops responding. No movement, no attacks, nothing.

My setup:

• CachyOS Linux
• Heroic Games Launcher 2.19.1
• GE-Proton-latest
• NVIDIA GTX 1050 (driver 580.126.9)
• Unity 6 game using the New Input System + InControl

I've tried adding SDL_VIDEODRIVER=x11 and messing with boot.config input flags but no luck so far. It seems like the New Input System loses keyboard focus when transitioning from menu scenes to the gameplay scene.

Has anyone else run into this? Any workarounds? Would really appreciate any help.

Everytime i play guild wars 2 in pop os, through steam via proton, the view gets stuck looking up. if i move the mouse it just does a 180 degree turn looking up. tried disabling dxvk and resetting everything. Any help would be appreciated.

HI Everybody I have installed Ori and the Blind forest GOG installer on Lutris but it freezes on boot here is exactly what happens:-

- The Game boots ori starts running(on the loading screen of course) then with time his running becomes slower by time and somehow it just freezes at a certain time.

Currently I am on :-

- Endeavour os

- Core i5 10th gen integrated Graphics

- Lutris(flatpak version cause native version does weird things)

Things i tried :-

- I tried to turn on and off multiple wine settings like DXVK, VKD3D etc.

- Tried to install it with lutris online scripts and still got the same problem.

Other Games Work Like a charm :-

- Hollow Knight

- Hollow Knight Silksong

- Plant vs Zombie

- Geometry Dash

- Vampire Survival

- God of War 1 (PCSX2)
