Other News about gaming on Linux
Did he even do any research before posting this
yes, most of these games are borked, but both roblox and minecrafy work perfectly without any problems, and also gain a noticeable framerate boost.

Secure boot dual booting with cachyOS
Hi.
This was most likely asked a ton before, but I was not able to find any concrete answers.
Does secure boot prevent me from dual booting CachyOS? As I play BF6 and other games that require secure boot and would like to keep windows for that purpose.
I fear that secure boot might break my cachyOS or windows itself.
On top of this. Would dual booting mess up drivers for windows or Linux? Cuz I am not sure how drivers work on Linux if having dual booting would break anything at all.

Xenia Mousehook Linux (Gears of War 2)
Hi,
Does anybody know how to get mouse movement inputs recognized in Xenia Canary Mousehook via Xenia Manager running on Linux Mint (Steam via apt - Proton GE 10-25) for Gears of War 2?
Everything runs fine, even mouse buttons are working, but not the mouse movement.

Dota 2 stuttering with good FPS on Fedora
Online Dota games stutter to the point that it is unplayable. It feels like its a graphics issue when it happens but the game runs fine in bot matches and only poorly in online games. Hoping someone can give me some tips on troubleshooting this as my ping and packet loss (according to Dota) appear to be fine. Thanks

Cronos the new dawn
Just started playing this game and wanted to warn people.
If you are having bad performance, try enabling Proton.
The game has a native Linux build that runs pretty horribly in my experience...
I was getting around 50 fps at medium settings and FSR balanced and didn't know this game had a Linux build.
Switched to Proton and I am now getting 100+ in most cases at high settings and FSR quality.
Worst I've seen it drop since switching to Proton is the low 90s.

Hitman: Blood Money (GOG Offline files install) gets stuck after first mission on Lutris + saves go into a strange “Demo” folder
Sonic Adventure DX Dreamcast Mod doesn't support inputs and doesn't render properly, Linux Mint latest version
Included my neofetch at the end so you know what I'm working with (it's a prebuilt HP shitbox from 2018 with upgraded RAM. Plays most games well especially since I have a boomer taste outside of Fortnite).
Sonic Adventure DX vanilla from Steam runs perfectly but I much prefer the Dreamcast conversion mod with no border and better graphics. Installing the mod worked just fine but running it doesn't let me play the game. I've seen a few support threads on GameBanana and some other places but none of them had any replies. Can anyone help out here? I'd love to play the optimal version of this classic on my main rig.

Poor performance in Final Fantasy XVI
I recently switched to Linux. First, I tried Bazzite, then Fedora 42, and finally settled on CachyOS. Before switching to Linux, I saved my Final Fantasy game to my secondary hard drive. When I installed the game on Linux, I noticed some strange stuttering (on all three Linux distributions) that didn't happen on Windows. So I tried Proton GE and the CachyOS version, but nothing changed; the stuttering persisted. Since I'm new to this system, I don't want to mess with things I shouldn't, so any help is greatly appreciated!
My PC specs:
Ryzen 7 5700X3D
2x16GB RAM 3600MHz
RX 6800XT
All installed on a 1TB M.2 SSD

Audio stops working when launching a game
Hello, I transitioned into linux a week or two ago, and every time I launch a game on steam, audio completely stops working. What I was doing to mediate was play an audio or music video in the background as the game launched and that seemed to fix it. But after a couple of minutes of playing it stopped working again, does anyone know how to fix this?

Hey, I've been wondering if there's any good PS1 emulators for linux?
I've been trying to get a PS1 emulator but haven't had any luck, Duckstation seems to have died and some people say RetroArch sucks, so what other options do I have?
I'm using Linux Mint.
Edit: I didn't look much into it but through the surface I read something about the Duckstation dev dropping linux support (apparently it was just for Arch tho, or something like that) but for some reason I just can't boot it at all, I tried to run the AppImage and I even tried to use AppImage Launcher but it just refuses to open :(

How to remove/block a gamepad? (Nobara Linux)
I originally posted this on the Nobara Reddit but sadly I got no answer that solves my problem.
The USB Dongle of my ASUS mouse is compatible with some Asus Game pad.
Sadly even if no Gamepad is detected it's still acts as an active game controller (same thing happens under Windows).
How to a remove/block this game pad without impeding the Mouse function?
