Any luck whit mcpelauncher?
I have been playing 1.21.60.10 for a while now and everything was working pretty much out of the box, but now everytime i try to get to the skins tab or i enter my world it will just crash for some seconds.....
It's one of the latest versions so i get it might not have proper support atm.What i wanna know is, which version should i play?....I don't even play minecraft, just bought it today to try it out but no clue wether i should use something like 1.18 or smt, are there any big changes in the middle of 1.18-121?
EDIT: I made a different desktop file for mcpelauncher appimage and turned off "multiplayer game" or smh from the world settings, back to the track for now.

RPC failed
Hello, I'm trying to install the old Harry potter pc game, the one from the first movie, I'm using lutris and trying to install the game using an ISO image, it all seems to work well, I get the installation prompt from the game, but at the end I get an error message saying that RPC failed, I'm not sure what that is or how to fix it, does any of you know? Could you help me figure it out? Or should I just try another method of installation? Thanks

Yu Gi Oh Master Duel Error
I'm having problems starting Yu Gi Oh Master Duel, the game starts and closes on this screen, I tried using several versions of proton, as well as this command that I found in ProtonDB: gamemoderun PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% nothing works.

Is it worth using a Windows virtual machine or setting up dual boot for games that don't run on Linux at all?

Windows VM on Linux Distro
Hey guys really struggling here and not quite sure how to get what I want, maybe you can help me out here.
What I have:
AMD Ryzen 5800x (so no iGPU)
32GB RAM
RTX 4080 S
Many SSDs
What I want:
A Linux Host on which I can play games via Proton and a Windows VM for Games, that aren’t able to be played via Proton (as well as some other Windows exclusive stuff I need to do).
What I’ve tried:
Linux Mint & PopOS!. Some of the features worked, but not all of them. I tried following different instructions many times and tried especially with PopOS! about 3 installs and I wasn’t really able to do what I want. I wanted to try now with Manjaro since many people said this was the distro to go for, but I would go back to Pop or Mint, if that makes it any more possible.
ATM I dual boot, but would really like to get everything under one Main OS and I would prefer to use Linux over Windows in my daily use for as much as I can.
I’ve read a lot about getting a second GPU or using the iGPU, for the Host OS and passing the Nvidia GPU to the Guest OS (Windows). But thats not what I want, I really want to do as much as possible on the Linux Host (including gaming) and then, if nessesary use the Windows VM and passthough the GPU to that. While being in the Windows VM I do not need to do anything on the Linux Host.
Most what I’ve read about this was pretty sparsly explained and I’m no Linux Guru, so maybe that’s part of the problem. But I’d really like to get more into Linux, so here we are.

Anomaly in Steam
I installed Steam on my laptop with ubuntu and applied the linux filter. But some games that don't support linux are appearing along with Install option. I know FIFA and R6S is not supported which I am sure. Any idea why this is showing?

Server shut down issue
Hello,
I'm currently running a Rust server using LinuxGSM, and I’m facing an issue where the server sometimes shuts down randomly without any warnings or notifications.
The machine itself stays on — only the Rust server stops running. This issue didn’t occur when I used SteamCMD directly. It only started after switching to LinuxGSM.
I’d really like to figure out why this is happening and how to fix it.
🔧 Server Specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7950X
- RAM: TeamGroup DDR5-5600 CL46 Elite (32GB)
- SSD: Samsung 990 PRO M.2 NVMe 1TB
- PSU: 800W
- OS: Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS
Is there any way to check what’s causing the server to shut down like this?

Plasma 6.4 Wayland vs X11 desktop performance numbers
On hearing that the Wayland is simpler in design than X11, I used to assume that it might be giving better performance. Wayland certainly avoids a lot of work that X11 does, so it felt fairly reasonable.
But, now it looks like the Wayland is less performant than X11.
Wayland might be ready for the average users, but it doesn't appear ready to replace X11. Not atleast for gamers.

Cloned dual boot ssd with windows and Steamos, Steamos not working !
So after cloning my dual booted ssd I can not longer see or get into Steamos I was able to get refund to work but Steamos will not boot correctly, Windows works fine !
When accessing the data thru konsole and a usb boot drive I can see the data is still there and fine but something is wrong because it just won’t boot into Steamos from refind or boot menu on bios
Need someone who knows Linux and is versed in Konsole to help I sure this is like 10 - 15 lines of commands to reconfigure the correct file to efi or what ever willing to put $20 on it for whom ever can help and solve the issue !

The Division 2 20FPS
In the game The Division 2, I get a maximum of 20 FPS despite having powerful hardware. I’ve tested it with Proton GE 9-4, 9-13, and 9-27, but nothing helps. Does anyone have any tips?

so a freind sent me an edit invitation for studio i tried to join in and edit on studio with vinegar but i couldnt join in like when i press accept the invitation it sent's me to the roblox studio page but still itws possible cuz i already joined to edit someone else game but this time idk how i forgot

Olá pessoal estou navegando a fundo no linux gostava de saber qual a melhor distro linux lara trabalhar e jogar porque não gosto de fazer muito dualboot o tem po todo. Eu acho linux bastante interessante a personalização dele é bom como as pessoas ajudam se umas ás outras por isso gosto tanto do linux é por isso que não quero estar sempre a fazer um dualboot sempre que quero fazer uma coisa dinferente, por isso queria uma distro que desse para trabalhar e jogar jogos. Podiam me dizer alguma? E porquê?

Just installed Garuda Drag0n153d Gaming Edition
Been wanting to install this again since the last Windows update trashed my PC earlier in the year, for the Zen 2 and gaming optimisations and extra performance. Been running Mint 22 for a while to use for Dev, which currently it seems you can't put the Zen kernel on using the Liquorix Kernel as it isn't supported yet. So I grabbed the ISO image of Garuda Drag0n153d Gaming Edition as it has it baked in, but then struggled to get it to install of the Live USB I made using Etcher or Rufus no matter what bios settings I flipped, which was odd as I installed a previous version without issues on the same kit b4, eventually after searching online I found that building the Live USB with Ventoy fixes the issue and so finally got it setup and running earlier! 🎉 Looking pretty nice so far 😎
