Vermouth has been released in version v2.4.0 (“Hammer time!”).
After version 2.3.1, running games can now be stopped right from the grid (with confirmation on the first press). Steam games get launch options and environment variables in the Advanced tab. The update also adds a Brazilian Portuguese translation, icoutils in the Flatpak and better gamepad focus behavior.
Hammer time!
Running games can be stopped from the grid, Steam games get launch options and env vars, and gamepad focus behaves better.
New
- Stop running games from the grid - Games display a “Running” overlay with a prominent Stop button. The first press requires confirmation to prevent accidental termination.
- Launch options and environment variables for Steam games - The Advanced tab now supports these settings. Wrapper commands go before
%command%and game arguments after it. Steam must be closed when launching with these enabled, or Vermouth prompts you.- Brazilian Portuguese translation - Contributed by @guinuxbr
- icoutils in Flatpak - Windows icon extraction now works in the Flatpak build
Gamepad improvements
- Focus returns to the game grid when exiting a game or window
- Selection state is preserved when navigating to the sidebar or search
- A button stops running games with two-press confirmation
Fixes
- Sidebar navigation items remain highlighted correctly
Notes
- Stopping a Steam game closes the Steam client, affecting other running games/downloads
- Flatpak Steam does not support prefix commands and environment variables
- Flatpak Vermouth may have issues stopping Steam games
