HeadsetControl: version 4.2.0 released

HeadsetControl has been released in version 4.2.0.

HeadsetControl is a cross-platform tool for controlling USB gaming headsets on Linux, macOS and Windows - it manages sidetone, battery status, LED lighting and equalizers, among other things.

The update adds support for new headsets, including the Jabra Link 390 / Evolve2 65 Flex, Jabra Link 380, Logitech ASTRO A50 Gen 4 and Sony InZone H9 II. The Logitech G522 gains lights, voice prompts and EQ, and the Audeze Maxwell now uses the real protocol with custom EQ.

What’s Changed:

  • fix(audeze): remove parameter-setting packet from Maxwell initialization
  • Add PID 0x018b for HyperX Cloud II Wireless (newer dongle revision)
  • Fix -d device selection silently matching nothing for bare hex USB IDs
  • Add Jabra GN Protocol support: Link 390 dongle and Evolve2 65 Flex
  • cli: let devices refine the product name via getMetadata()
  • Arctis 7+: persist settings with the save command
  • Add Logitech ASTRO A50 Gen 4 (9886:002c)
  • Fix Nova 3P/3X Wireless maximum microphone volume
  • Logitech G522: port to Centurion, add lights, voice prompts and EQ
  • fix(logitech): correct PRO X 2 battery queries and offline detection
  • Add Jabra Link 380 (paired headset) support
  • feat(audeze): implement the real Maxwell protocol and add custom EQ
  • CI/workflow improvements and labeling automation
