sc-controller, the Linux user-mode driver for the Steam Controller and other controllers (e.g. DS4/DS5), has been released in version 1.0.5 - shortly after version 1.0.4.
The biggest change is improved cross-platform support: Windows is now supported, while macOS support is still under investigation. There are also first-time translations (Czech and Brazilian Portuguese), a fix for flipped X/Y axes in X360 controller emulation, and several bugfixes related to GTK 4.
I’ve created an SCC Discord - for chitchat, support, suggestions, or showing off your elaborate SCC profiles and integrations.
What’s Changed

- Fix Custom Editor not opening (regression after GTK 4 migration)
- Fix OSD crashing when not using Wayland (regression after GTK 4 migration)
- Fix loading button icons in some cases
- Fix
run.shloading cached build files- Fix crash on launch if scc directory is present in some pre-defined paths, but the rest of the expected files aren’t there
- Log files are now created per each of the various components when using development versions - or when a special
debugfile is present- Some deprecation fixes
