Proton-AppImage has been released in version GE-Proton 11-7.
Proton-AppImage is an unofficial packaging of GE-Proton as a single, portable AppImage file that lets you run Windows programs on Linux - no Steam or complex setup required.
Automated standalone build of GE-Proton11-7, runs in WoW64 mode.
The AppImage can be moved freely between systems, registers itself as a handler for .exe and .msi files via --install, and launches Wine’s file explorer by default when run without arguments. Passing a Windows executable as an argument runs it directly.
The build is based on GE-Proton 11-7 by GloriousEggroll. That release focuses on expanded Wine-Wayland child-window rendering (now 85 patches), plus fixes for the NCSOFT Purple launcher, Lineage II and Forza Horizon 5, new Sony-to-XInput defaults for several fighting games, VitaPad support, and Steam overlay improvements.
