PartyDeck: version 0.8.7 released

PartyDeck has been released in version v0.8.7.

PartyDeck is a tool for local multiplayer gaming on a single system - it lets multiple controllers be used at once so friends can play together in party-style split-screen sessions on one PC.

The developers are currently working on a major update with rewritten systems and new features, though without a concrete timeframe. Until then, this release fixes several issues from 0.8.6. There are also now two separate downloads: a tarball specifically for SteamOS devices, and an AppImage for every other Linux distro.

What’s Changed

  • Goldberg Steam Emulator and Umu-launcher updated
  • Better UI flow around creating handlers
  • HIDRaw option for newer Windows Unity games that don’t play nice with non-Xbox controllers
  • Add controller D-pad navigation on the Instances (player-setup) page
  • Ignore phantom Unknown-N outputs with no display attached
  • Show each instance only its own input devices instead of masking others
