DLSS Updater: version 4.7.0 with FSR 4.1 support released

DLSS Updater has been released in version 4.7.0.

The tool scans the games installed on a system and replaces outdated DLSS, XeSS, and FSR DLLs with newer versions - including automatic backups for rollback. Version 4.7.0 is headlined by new support for AMD’s FSR 4.1 (Upscaling 4.1.1, Frame Generation 4.0.1, Loader 2.3.0, plus the new Ray Regeneration 1.2.8), currently gated behind RDNA3 (RX 7000) and RDNA4 (RX 9000) cards. It also adds the experimental FSR Radiance Caching feature, which AMD itself labels a preview and must be opted into via the update settings. On top of that, Python was bumped to 3.14.7 (free-threaded) and compatibility issues with Proton-CachyOS and Proton-EM around FSR4 on RDNA3 were fixed.

FSR 4.1 Support

  • FSR Upscaling: 4.1.1
  • FSR Frame Generation: 4.0.1
  • FSR Loader: 2.3.0
  • Ray Regeneration (new): 1.2.8

Gated behind RDNA3 (RX 7000) and RDNA 4 (RX 9000).

FSR Radiance Caching Highly experimental, and AMD themselves label it as a preview. Opt-in via Settings → Update Preferences.

Notable Changes

  1. Python upgraded to 3.14.7 (free threaded)
  2. Fixes for Proton-CachyOS and Proton-EM compatibility regarding FSR4 RDNA3 support
  3. Network timeout improvements for slow connections
  4. Linux builds now compiled from Ubuntu 24.04 LTS minimum
