HateArena, an open-source multiplayer arena FPS built on the CUBE engine, has been released in version v0.0.4. The full changelog compared to v0.0.3-b spans over 100 commits covering graphics, menus, audio, and gameplay improvements.
Highlights include a new depth of field effect toggle, a mouse sensitivity slider, improved SFX and master volume submenus, and a reworked graphics settings GUI. On the gameplay side, a visual quad damage timer was added along with hitsound fixes and improved explosion effects. Controls were moved to a dedicated submenu, and a config reset option is now available in settings.
