GOverlay: Gaming Overlay Manager released in version 1.8.4

GOverlay, a graphical tool for managing Linux gaming overlays, has been released in version 1.8.4. This update improves hardware comparisons in the Pascube benchmark based on 144 submissions and introduces automated builds for AppImage, Flatpak, DEB, and RPM - including aarch64 support.

Hey Linuxers, In this release i’ve improved the hardware comparisons based on all the 144 submissions so far.

Pascube: – Unique hardware fingerprinting with client identification – Recalibrated benchmark reference scores for hardware comparisons – Updated submission flow redirecting to a visual database

CI/CD & Release Automation: – Automated builds for AppImage, Flatpak, DEB, and RPM on x86_64 and aarch64 upon tag creation – Multi-format packages added to nightly builds

OptiScaler & bgmod: – Automatic OptiScaler file updates during game execution – Fixed file permissions and global Reflex settings persistence – UI hides configuration actions during updates to prevent overlap

Flatpak Sandbox: – GPU detection fallback via sysfs for restricted environments – Reactivated vkSumi support with installation documentation – Fixed shell command execution errors on the Home tab
