PipeWire wurde in der Version 1.6.11 veröffentlicht.
Es handelt sich um ein Bugfix-Release, das API- und ABI-kompatibel zu den vorherigen 1.6.x-Versionen bleibt. Im Fokus stehen zahlreiche rückportierte Bluetooth-Fixes (darunter Sicherheitskorrekturen) sowie ein Fix für Hänger im ALSA-Plugin beim Draining.
This is a bugfix release that is API and ABI compatible with the previous 1.6.x releases.

PipeWire
- Use extra buffer in reliable mode.
Modules
- Fail client device export when device can’t be started. Together with Wireplumber changes this avoids non-functioning devices in case of errors.

- Clean up some SPA_POD_Long arguments to make things work on 32bits.
Bluetooth
- Backport some security fixes.
- Handle some allocation errors better.
- Fix handling of multiple concurrent profile registrations.
- Fix BIS latency range checks.
- Improve ofono compatibility.
- Handle async device and node removal.
- Avoid using stale transport or device pointers by using a unique serial instead.
ALSA plugin
- Avoid going into XRUN when draining. (#5544)
