How to enable WINE Wayland for everything that I open in WINE?
I have edited the registry with winetricks, however, my game is launched from NEXON website via their NGM (Nexon Game Manager), I can't add PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 like I do in Steam. What should I do?

Doom The Dark Ages Shield Throw Stutter and intel-microcode 3.20250512.0ubuntu0.25.04.1
After completing Doom the dark ages a little over a week ago I pulled up the game again only to find a terrible stutter with every shield throw in the game.
I went looking for a solution and found this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/1ktsdpd/doom_the_dark_ages_stutter/
Which describes the same issue, but a solution hadn't really been found yet. But the information there helped point me in the right direction.
I'm not sure if this is the only game where this issue presents and I really need someone else to help me test a little more. Preferably someone running a different distro.
From the post it seemed like it was only happening on linux systems using an intel CPU, so I reviewed my apt logs and noticed a recent update for intel-microcode from 3.20250211.1ubuntu1 to 3.20250512.0ubuntu0.25.04.1
Rolling that single package back has removed the stutter.
Is there anyone that can reproduce with a different distro?

Arch Hyprland for gaming?
Hey everyone,
Current windows user here but I’m looking to switch. I wanna preface this with I’m pretty new to the linux community, I’ve spent a couple weeks doing research on moving my computer over to Arch Hyprland but the only thing holding me back is I can’t seem to find much on how well it works with gaming. I have a very small bit of programming knowledge but I want to dive head first and learn more. I chose Hyprland because I absolutely love the tile managing way of using a computer, and I’m also looking at ricing my desktop quite a bit. I also have an Nvidia GPU. I hear this can be somewhat problematic when it comes to Linux in some ways? Has anyone tried it? If so, do you think it’s worth the effort?

Kubuntu 24.04 vs 25.04 (Nvidia 4k)
Hi everyone! I’m currently still on Windows 11 on my gaming rig. I have used Linux desktops in the past and enjoyed my time with it. My question is this:
I have a Nvidia 4070 with 2 4k 27' displays that I would prefer to scale to 150%. Would Kubuntu 24.04 LTS or 25.04 be a smarter move for general use and gaming?
I have an IT and Linux admin background and am comfortable getting things working when I run into problems, but my wife is less patient. She primarily plays the Sims 4, Subnautica, and other random cozy(ish) games.
Thank you!

Need help launching GTA San Andreas
So I’m trying to play gta sa without playing the trilogy version as I’ve heard nothing but bad things, then found out you can no longer buy the original on steam, obtained a copy, and now every time I launch it this happens. No matter what version of proton I try I can’t get it to work sadly. Anyone know of a solution?

Grayed out EXE in lutris
I'm trying to add a pre installed game to lutris that runs fine in winetricks, but in lutris when i navigate to the folder where the game is, the EXE is grayed out. In the game info tab i have selected wine and then the wine version in runner options. Any ideas why or how I can fix this?

Stellar Blade PC demo with an XFX Radeon RX 9060 XT (no gamescope)
Any good recommendations for finding info on how to optimize CS2(or any game rather) for linux?
I've been diving into linux since installing it two days ago. I recognize it'll take a bit more work than windows, but I like learning new stuff. I was getting pretty decently poor performance with CS2. A lot of stuttering and such, even with v-sync on. I've been seeing that I could switch to Proton-GE. Is this generally recommended?

How well do window emulators including Xenia, RPCS3, and Teknoparrot work with Wine? I want to setup a pc for emulation but I'd rather it not be windows.

I need a good distro for gaming.
Edit:
my hardware, Ryzen 7 5700G, RX 6600, 32GB RAM 3200MHz, 240GB NVMe SSD, and 2TB HDD.

new to linux since ubunto back in 2008 lol
So I installed Linux (Bazzite) on my Asus Ally x, I noticed and tested my speeds are slower than when it was on windows. Is there a fix on this? (I already enabled IPv6) not sure what else to do. But I can noticeably see it slower. Use to get 560MB download 36 UP, on bazzite im getting 113 DL and 12 UP

Is there any new way of playing Wuthering Waves on linux?
The most recent post I saw (through my research), was from a year ago asking the same question and the best answer I got is to use waydroid, and since WuWa is now fully supported on steam I would like to know if it is possible to play it through proton/wine or is the anti-cheat still a major issue?

White Screen Flicker in Arch
I'll have to go digging for recording software, but I have noticed that whenever I have to click in the game (especially before doing so moves the camera) or I move my mouse outside the bounds of the game window, I am assailed by these white flickers on the primary screen. So far, I think this may be related to Wine/Proton but I am not sure yet, the only natively compatible game I have installed on this machine is Vintage Story.
So far, I have experienced this with Final Fantasy XIV (Using the XIV Launcher), Electrician Simulator (using Heroic), Dawn of War (Steam)
System is:
Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Radeon RX 7900 XTX (Connected to a 4k flat panel, 2k ultrawide, both via DisplayPort)
32GB RAM + 9GB Swap
Arch Linux in KDE Plasma version 6.3.5
