Still trying to get Steam and Eve Online to run/work
So been working on this process for about 3 days now. I'm running mint 22.1 and I've tried Lutris, wine and today trying to figure out Proton in Steam. Got Eve Online downloaded, updated, and running in Compatibility mode first with Proton Exp and then Proton 9.0. Steam says Eve is running, Eve Launcher is running and signed into my Account. Choose Character and push Play. Says that it is Starting. Then nothing happens but seconds later button goes back to Push Play. Getting a little exhausted. So close yet so far.

MH Wilds consistent crashing on start up at "Initializing Network"
I've dug through google and chatgpt for help on playing this game. I keep encountering a crash right when the "Initializing Network" box appears. From what chatgpt is saying, the game crashes so hard it doesn't give me an actual crash log. The only file I get is a .dmp.tmp file which could take a while to decode? No idea as I'm still new to linux. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, verifying game files, going through each proton version. The crash happens at the same place. I also have seen it could be the save file. I deleted it, still same issue. The game runs perfectly fine on my Ally x (running windows 11). Can someone help me out? I'd like to stream it from my computer but the game won't even launch.

TES Oblivion Remastered on RTX 4090 | 4K DLSS | Hardware RT
Here is the new Oblivion Remaster working great on Nvidia hardware out of the box. The performance drops once you get outside, but frame generation could resolve that get you an even better experience on Linux. I hope nVidia continue to improve VKD3D performance!

Looking for a GPU
I’m looking for a NEW desktop budget GPU with low power requirements/low TDP. I recently put money into upgrading the CPU and RAM and I am not wanting to upgrade the PSU or spend any more money on it minus a GPU upgrade. My GPU budget is $300 USD or less.
Current rig specs are Ryzen 7 5800 (65w), 32 GB RAM, NV GTX1650 Super 4 GB (100w), 430w 80+ Bronze certified power supply, Linux 6.8.x kernel.
I found the NV RTX 4060 to have good benchmarks for the price with a TDP of just 115w and a price tag of around $300 USD.
I would like to go all AMD but I can’t seem to find an AMD GPU that offers similar performance to the 4060 with similar power and price points. The Radeon RX 6600 is close in power at 132w and is a bit cheaper at around $250 USD, and while it out performs my current GTX 1650S, it’s a long ways from besting the 4060.
Question 1: is there anything else from AMD that can compete with the RTX 4060? Or if my PSU can handle something with a higher TDP from AMD, what would you recommend?
Question 2: if the RTX 4060 is my best option, is Nvidia on linux just as good these days as AMD on linux? Will a NV card suffer performance hits due to NV drivers issues?
Thanks.
