Doom: The Dark Ages failed to allocate video memory
Every time I open doom the dark ages, the title screen loads for a little bit but then promptly crashes, saying I've run out of video memory. I'm not sure what could be causing this as I am on the newest nvidia driver. In launch options I have "+com_skipIntroVideo 1 +set m_smooth 0 -vulkan". Hope someone can help

Is linux mint not a good choice to game on
Ive been on linux mint over a month now, tried playing a few games to compare including witcher 3. On windows it ran very good, even on medium settings. On mint, the game is 10fps on the lowest possible settings. Ive tried to update to latest nvidia gpu drivers that arent even showing on driver manager yet (580.105.08). Changed every proton version and wine. Is linux mint not that good for games? Ive heard that cachy os is better in terms of gaming. I know that nvidia and linux dont mix that well, but i dont thinks thats the case here. (I have 1050 for reference if it makes any difference).

Any reason to use Proton-Wayland + NTSync on FFXIV?
I regularly use proton wayland in most of my games since I enjoy the smoother frametime and generally less headaches when it comes to window handling and avoiding cursor bugs.
But for FF14 I have no issues in both xwayland or wayland (using XIVLauncherRB), and the NTSync patches don't seem to change much.
Should I still use Wayland + NTSync? Or it doesn't matter for CPU heavy mmos like FF14?

CS2 has no audio?
I really don't know what else to say besides the title. I'm running CachyOS on kernel 6.18.2, and I have an RTX 3060 on 590.48 in case it's an nvidia driver problem. However, every other game I've tried has normal audio, so I believe it's a Counter Strike 2 issue.
My only launch options are;
gamemoderun %command% +fps_max 0I have tried running the game through X11 and it's natively with Wayland. Neither worked. I have also verified the integrity of CS2's files, and no dice. Restarting my PC, nothing, restarting steam, nothing, the only thing I haven't done is reinstall the game because I'd rather see if this is a reproducible/fixable issue first.
Is this happening to anyone else?
Edit: If anyone has this issue in the future, put
-sdlaudiodriver pulseaudioInto your launch options, even if you use pipewire. It'll just work after that.
