Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux: next-gen update released

The free next-gen update for Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux is now available on Steam.

The update was announced earlier. It brings 4K resolution with uncapped frame rates, DLSS, FSR and 4A TSR support, Screen Space Global Illumination, more detailed geometry and textures, and spatial audio. There are also numerous community-reported bug fixes, for example for crashes, savegames and Steam Cloud.

You can now also link a Deep Silver Account to the games to unlock an exclusive comic. Each linked game also earns an entry in the giveaway for METRO 2039, which launches on February 4, 2027.

For systems that don’t meet the requirements, Steam offers the rollback branches metro_2033_redux_legacy and metro_last_light_redux_legacy.
