Cleared Hot: helicopter shooter released with chapter 2 "Jungle Storm"

The big Chapter 2: Jungle Storm update for Cleared Hot has been released on Steam.

Cleared Hot is a nostalgic helicopter shooter with satisfying physics and light tactical elements. The update adds a new 9-mission campaign, two new helicopters (Ka-52 Alligator and MH-53 Pave Low), a weather system, a level editor with mod support and much more. The game is currently 20% off.

The day is here! Jungle Storm update has released on Steam!

Features

  • Jungle Storm Campaign: a new 9-mission campaign, same or longer playtime than Chapter 1
  • A boss fight at the end (no spoilers!)
  • A fully voiced story, building on Chapter 1
  • Two new helicopters: the Ka-52 Alligator and the MH-53 Pave Low, the winners of our helicopter poll.
  • Unique abilities for all 11 helicopters, reflecting how each aircraft is used in the real world.
  • A Utility Slot system. Flares, chaff, EMP, airstrikes, and smoke grenades available as in-world pickups as well as upgrades in the hangar.
  • New weather system: Rain, lightning and thunder in the Jungle campaign.
  • New enemies, including BTRs, Shilkas, gunboats, swift boats, drone swarms, and new turrets.
  • Helicopter skins, unlocked with in-game currency (with more to come based on your feedback).
  • A level editor and early file-based modding support. Build your own missions or write custom mods.
  • New water system with water buoyancy physics
  • Updated illustrated art, along with 2 new characters
  • Reworked gun overheating: guns will now force a cooldown after overheating, and there is an updated UI indicator that is more visible.
  • Various performance optimizations.

I am SO happy to finally release this update. We’ve put a ton of work into the game since we last dropped an update.

Now go play it! If you don’t own it yet, the game is currently on sale for 20% off.
