Shortly after version 5.1.0, version 5.1.1 is now available for CoolerControl.
CoolerControl is a program for controlling and monitoring fans, pumps and AIO coolers on Linux, with customizable fan curves for CPU and GPU coolers.
The update is a small maintenance release for packagers: it fixes a build test failure on aarch64 with glibc 2.43 and newer, and an issue with the Fedora package ignoring Cargo.lock.
Changed
- More tests that depend on their build environment, such as the host, sandbox or toolchain, are gated behind the
gated-testsfeature in every daemon crate- Adjusted the Fedora spec build codegen units and debuginfo, cutting its Copr build time significantly
- Releases are rehearsed with every test and package build before their tag is pushed, so packagers that build on a new tag get a release that has already built
Fixed
- A daemon build test failed on aarch64 with glibc 2.43 and newer
- The Fedora cargo_install macro installed a second build of the daemon that ignored
Cargo.lock. It now installs the binary from its build step
