Wishing Well Simulator: narrative choice game released

Wishing Well Simulator by Kanuni Games has been released for Linux on Steam.

You play a stone wishing well in a small seaside town: eight residents toss coins and whisper their wishes over eight days, and your only choice is to grant or refuse each one - with a limited supply of water and consequences that ripple through the other townspeople.

The game costs 3.11 € at launch (25% introductory discount off 4.15 €, valid through September 22), and a single run takes around 70 to 80 minutes.

You are a stone wishing well in a small seaside town. People lean over your edge, toss a coin, and whisper what they want most. Granting is your only voice — and your water is not endless.

Eight townspeople return to you, day after day, for eight days. The merchant asks for a horse; days later he buys the field that fed the girl who greets you every morning. The game never blames you. It only shows you what you did — in the same faces, in the same square, one day later.

  • 119 handwritten events across 8 days — each one someone’s wish, or its consequence
  • 8 characters whose fates intertwine: what you give one, you quietly take from another
  • 4 endings, decided by the kind of well you chose to be
  • The town remembers: choices persist and come back as props, lines and faces
  • Two buttons: grant or refuse. (And one more, to skip.)
  • A living square from dawn to dusk — visitors arrive with the sun
  • One run: 70–80 minutes. Seeing everything: about four runs.
  • Full controller support · playable in 22 languages
