Divider Dave: cloning puzzle-platformer released

Divider Dave has been released with native support for SteamOS and Linux on Steam.

It is a slapstick puzzle-platformer in which the character Dave can clone himself: every copy serves as a tool, a platform or a sacrifice to get past lasers, crushing blocks and locked doors.

The game offers 50+ handcrafted puzzles across 4 zones (the Lab, the Vents, the Warehouse and the Office), hand-made pixel art with cartoon slapstick, an original soundtrack by Leo “Tolgy” Cakmak and localization in 19 languages. It normally costs 7.99 EUR; at launch there is a 15% discount bringing it to 6.79 EUR (until September 16). A free demo is also available.

Dave wakes up in a pod with one skill and no idea why: he can copy himself. Between him and the exit: lasers, crushing blocks, and doors that have no business being locked.

A slapstick puzzle-platformer where every copy of Dave is a tool, a platform, and a potential sacrifice. He doesn’t mind. Probably.

  • Clone yourself and swap between copies
  • Launch, stack and squash your doubles to reach places one Dave never could
  • Zap clones into crates with the Davebox beam and shove them around
  • Dodge lasers, sneak past detection zones, ride tractor beams, and teleport through portals
  • Solve 50+ handcrafted puzzles across 4 zones: the Lab, the Vents, the Warehouse and the Office
