SelfSteam has been released in version v0.1.25.
SelfSteam is a headless web application for adding and editing non-Steam shortcuts from another device while the target machine stays in Game Mode: streaming services and websites as Steam shortcuts, game launchers, emulators from Flathub, and retro ROMs with automatic artwork lookup via SteamGridDB. The tool ships as a Flatpak for the Steam Deck and Steam Machines.
Shortly after version 0.1.24, v0.1.25 arrives. It adds Eden as a Flathub install alongside AppImage builds with automatic CPU target detection, renders N64 games fullscreen via ParaLLEl N64, and improves RetroArch controller handling and app removal.
- Eden is now installable via Flathub alongside AppImage builds, with automatic CPU target detection
- Nintendo 64 games now display fullscreen using ParaLLEl N64 instead of Mupen64Plus-Next
- RetroArch games support controller-only operation via L3+R3 menu access and state resumption
- Installation progress now displays step-by-step updates rather than listing all tasks simultaneously
- Improved app removal functionality with clearer UI distinctions between removable and system-wide apps
