ES-DE (EmulationStation Desktop Edition): version 3.5.0 released

ES-DE has been released in version 3.5.0.

ES-DE (EmulationStation Desktop Edition) is a cross-platform emulator frontend that provides a graphical interface for browsing games and launching them directly in the correct emulator.

Alongside support for many new emulators, this release brings new theme engine features, video scraping via TheGamesDB, and Czech translations. On Linux ARM, the systems “PlayStation Vita” and “Nintendo Wii U” have also been enabled.

As for cross-platform changes there are a couple of new theme engine features, which will open up new creative possibilities for theme creators. There is also support for scraping videos from TheGamesDB and Czech translations have been added.

In addition to the above there’s support for a huge amount of new emulators across all operating systems, and on Android two new systems have been enabled, “Sony PlayStation 4 (ps4)” and “Atari Jaguar CD (atarijaguarcd)”. For Linux on ARM two new systems have also been enabled, those being “Sony PlayStation Vita (psvita)” and “Nintendo Wii U (wiiu)”.

Under the hood there have been a number of modernizations by upgrading to newer dependency libraries, and some bugs have been fixed too.
