Added
- Spatial Audio looks and works like Sonar’s. The panel now shows the listener from above with the seven virtual speakers around the head: click one to raise or lower it (−12 to +6 dB) — the centre for dialogue, the rear speakers for footsteps. Immersion and Distance sit next to it under “Tuning”.
- Headphones / Speakers switch. Headphones is the virtual surround you know. Speakers skips the headphone render and folds the 7.1 to stereo with your speaker levels, for stereo speakers. A 5.1/7.1 output still gets the channels as they are, now with your speaker levels applied.
- Spatial settings per preset. The ⋮ menu saves Immersion, Distance and the speaker levels for the active preset or for all presets; a preset without its own uses the common ones. Switching presets — from the EQ page, the tray or the automatic game preset — brings its settings along. The on/off switch stays the same for every preset.
Changed
- Moving a Spatial slider no longer cuts the sound. Immersion, Distance and the speaker levels are set on the running audio chain instead of restarting it. Only taking Distance to or from 0 still restarts it.
Fixed
- Arctis 9: ChatMix was read backwards (#352, #331). A centred dial showed 0 % on both channels and any turn sent one side to 100 %.
- Nova Pro Wireless, Nova Pro Omni, Nova Elite: settings changed on the base station or in GG are no longer overwritten at start (#359, #331). ASM now takes the base’s own values at start instead of replaying its settings file over them.
- The Output device you picked is kept when it disappears for a while (#356). A monitor going to sleep made ASM save the fallback as your choice; the channel now goes back to your device when it returns. Thanks @zaxen.
- With Passthrough on, the Output node is named like the active one (#357) instead of “Sonar EQ (bypass)”.
- The bug report names the USB node even when it cannot be read.
