From Beyond: Arcade Edition wurde ab sofort für Linux auf Steam veröffentlicht.

Das Spiel ist ein Weltraum-Shooter, der ein komplettes Synth-Rock-Album der 80er interaktiv umsetzt: Zum Takt der Musik werden Songtexte und Aliens abgeschossen. Der Preis liegt bei 4,29 €, zum Start gibt es 20 % Rabatt (3,43 €).

Das Spiel bietet 10 Tracks (ca. 45 Minuten), 6 Power-Ups, Bosskämpfe, 7 zusätzliche Raumschiffe, Bestenlisten und Erfolge. Einen “Game Over” gibt es nicht, im Peaceful Mode lässt sich das Album auch ganz ohne feindliche Gegner genießen.

Shoot the song lyrics and alien bad guys who are determined to drop your score. Dodge alien attacks while using satisfying powerups to build up that score and then brag to your friends about your position on the leaderboards.
