Fixed
Steam Game Recording captured no game audio (issue #225). The router only ever looked at playback streams, so it had no visibility over any capture stream at all. Steam’s recorder was left wherever WirePlumber’s fallback put it, which was rarely the channel carrying the game, hence clips with an intact video track and a silent audio one. Recording streams are now pointed at the monitor of the channel they belong to, honouring
routing_overrides.jsonand defaulting to Game.Only a stream already reading a monitor is ever moved. One reading a real capture device is somebody’s microphone, and pointing it at a monitor would replace their voice with the game audio, so the microphone stays out of reach of this pass entirely.
Applications changed channel on their own after any EQ or profile change. Rebuilding the audio graph restarts
filter-chain, the channel sinks vanish for a few seconds and PipeWire parks whatever sat on them elsewhere. Two things went wrong: the streams were not put back, since only apps with a saved override were restored, and the router then mistook the accident for a deliberate move and wrote it down as a permanent one. A momentary flicker became a lasting reassignment. Both are fixed. The Linux test matrix never reached the install step. Every job on every distribution stopped at the runtime deps check, which refused an undeclared binary. The wheel install has therefore not actually been exercised on any distribution for several releases, including 1.4.14.
A preset was missing for anyone installing from a release tarball. The macron in
MARVEL Tōkon_ Fighting Souls [Game].jsondoes not survive extraction whenbsdtarcannot set the locale (issue #132). The preset is now namedMARVEL Tokon_ Fighting Souls [Game].Changed
- The bug report now lists playback and capture streams and where each one sits. Issue #225 could not be seen in a report at all: it showed the devices but never the streams on them.
