Beyond Dark Castle, die offizielle Fortsetzung des 1986er-Mac-Klassikers Dark Castle, ist auf Steam erschienen’- mit nativer Linux-Unterstützung.
Das Spiel ist ein Action-Adventure-Puzzle-Platformer, in dem Held Duncan eine größere, nichtlineare Burg voller Fallen, Waffen, Verliese und fünf magischer Orbs durchqueren muss, während der Schwarze Ritter erneut sein Unwesen treibt. Der Titel kostet 10,25 €.
Entwickelt wird das Spiel von Ludit Holdings, einem Studio von Mark Stephen Pierce, einem der Schöpfer der originalen Dark-Castle-Reihe. Technisch setzt man auf Indigo Runtime, eine Reimplementierung der klassischen Mac-Umgebung der 1980er, die alte Mac-Anwendungen ohne Apples originale ROM- oder Betriebssystem-Software emuliert.
