Änderungen in Version 1.4.2:

Added

  • Clips can be switched off. “It could be switched on, but the only control that turned it back off was ‘Uninstall’” which was problematic. The Clips tab now has a simple on/off switch next to its title that stops capture without uninstalling packages.

Fixed

  • Clicking the tray icon could kill ASM outright. The battery percentage display in a separate tray item would disappear when the headset powered off, causing clicks to land on deleted memory. “The battery now lives in the ASM icon itself, in a strip under the logo: one tray item, created when ASM starts and never taken away.”
  • Clips held on to your screen and your keyboard shortcut after being switched off. “The screen-recording session and the shortcut registered with your desktop both outlive the page that created them” when the Clips tab closed, causing conflicts when re-enabling.

Änderungen in Version 1.4.3:

Fixed

  • A headset that reports nothing is no longer described as connected. When ASM had not managed to read a single status frame, it filled in “Online” by itself - a placeholder meant for wired headsets that have no power state to report, but applied to every device. The window and the screen now agree, and when nothing has been read, ASM says so instead of inventing an answer. (#198)
  • USB timeouts in the status poll are no longer silent. That poll runs every two seconds for as long as ASM is running, and three kinds of USB failure were being discarded outright. It now says so once when the trouble starts, once a minute while it lasts, and once when it clears, and it names what the failure costs you. (#198)
  • “Offline” is no longer used to mean “this device has no battery”. Devices with no battery no longer get a battery element at all, and the checkbox offering one is hidden on hardware that cannot fill it. A headset that is genuinely off still says Offline.
  • Bug reports list every SteelSeries device, not just the first one. Only one device was ever read, so whichever one the system returned first was the only one described - and the headset was simply absent from the report. (#197)

Added

  • Bug reports now include what the daemon reads from your device. The battery level, the power state, and every other value ASM decodes, exactly as it sees them.
