Anyway to force FSR4 in all FSR2/3 supported games yet?
I’m building a new PC with a 9070 XT and planning to run Bazzite in a console-like setup on a 4K OLED TV. Since FSR 4 has been available for a couple of months I’m jsut wondering if can it be forced in games that already support FSR 2/3.
If it's possible at least, a solution that applies FSR 4 globally to most supported games without having to mess with per-title configs and launch options.
Thanks

Does Fall Guys work on Linux?
Looks like I can download it and everything but when I try to play it runs in a loop going "Installing Redistributables (FIXES)" or "Installing Redistributables (EPIC)"
Happening on Mint. Anyone run into this?
Edit Thanks for everyone who jumped in real quick to assist. To clarify I was using Heroic launcher. I added the latest version of proton instead of using the hotfix version. After closing out and restarting Heroic, I was able to load up Fall Guys

Dead by Daylight EAC failed to validate your account.
My wife got kicked from DBD last night for this EAC error using ProtonGE 10-4. Proton Experimental seems to be working fine. Anyone know why this happened? Shes been playing fine for months, worried the devs might be dropping support for linux.

Unable to play NFS Heat anymore
I tried reinstall. I'm on bazzite KDE. I have tried various proton builds. It used to launch to a black screen but now instantly crashes. I play on steam, but running the EXE in bottles doesn't work either.
Hardware:
AMD Ryzen 7 4800H (16) @ 4.30 GHz NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Mobile / Max-Q [Discrete] AMD Radeon Vega Series / Radeon Vega Mobile Series [Integrated]

Did Vortex Mod Manager broke?
It was working flawless but then when starting it with steamtinkerlaunch it crashes with no errors. I already changed to previous version of steamtinkerlauncher but no go.

How can I download The Sims 4 mods on Linux
I don't know what I am doing wrong, but I can't modding my TS4. I toggled the option to unlock mods and cc on the game and installed 30GB of mods manually on /Eletronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mod folder. But for some reason it's not working.
I am using Fedora 42 KDE and playing on Steam with Proton GE

Looking for a TLP alternative for battery threshold & general care tips for gaming
Hyo!
I recently bought a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 and installed Ubuntu 24.04 on it. Everything's been running great so far, but I’m looking for a way to limit the battery charge to a specific threshold, like 80%, to help preserve battery health.
I know that TLP is commonly recommended for battery management on Linux, but when I install it, it disables power-profiles-daemon, which I'd rather keep. So, I'm wondering if is there any good alternative to TLP that allows setting battery charge limits without interfering with power-profiles-daemon.
Also, since this is my first time using a laptop as my main computer (I’ve always used desktops), I’d really appreciate any care tips, especially for gaming. I usually play while plugged into power, and only use the battery when working or doing lighter tasks.
I'm mostly worried about:
- Battery wear or degradation from gaming
- Whether I should remove the charger after long sessions
- Any cooling tips beyond just “keep it cool”
Thanks in advance for any advice you can share!

Which OS should I choose for a dell 6320 old school laptop
I have a Dell Latitude 6320 6 gb ram 250 HDD and I5 2nd gen 2.5 ghz. I have used this successfully with Fedora but I am wondering what the overhead will be if I did kicksecure debian or Secureblue OS. I want more security and want to install fail2ban, firejail/bubblewrap, AIDE, wazzuh, maldet, clamav, rootkit, crowdsec, cloudflare warp. I plan to encrypt the drive, yes I know this will be slow, windows 10 is working okay with this setup. I am curious which distro would you recommend. I know Secureblue has atomic images and yes I will need to layer the programs or perhaps use flatpaks. I also may want some gaming with wine direct 9 mmo like DDO or something which has run previously fine under Fedora. Am I asking too much for this laptop? Can I run kicksecure with VM and will it still be pretty secure? Any thoughts, yes I know I will be limited to opengl with Intel HD 3000 graphics card. Thanks in advance. If anyone is one of these distros would appreciate any input. I plan to do dual boot

Battery bypass on the Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go and Asus Rog Ally.
This is just a rant. The only handheld pc of the three that has battery bypass is the Asus Rog Ally. But if anyone installs the steam os on the asus rog ally the battery bypass function is no longer available. I want to be able to use the device connected without degrading the battery or make the device rise in temperature. But without the official firmware or other software it's not possible. So yeah, nothing else to add.

What all do i need to set in Heroic Games Launcher for SteamOS?
I'm just trying to figure out what settings I need to set for heroic games launcher on steam OS if anybody has a list please?
For example, do I need to toggle use steam runtime? What about enable mangohud; I wouldn't think so because SteamOs has built in performance monitoring tools.
But I'm just trying to figure out all what I need to change or configure please and thank you!

8BitDo Arcade Stick on Arch Linux
Has anyone experience using the 8BitDo Arcade Stick on Linux, precisely on Arch, with the 2.4GHz dongle. I have no idea how to set it up, but I know it's possible since it works out of the box on Batocera.

Is there any way to get low latency and no screen tearing like on windows?
Looking at the different ways to get low latency on linux, I see that the option most often stated is to enable screen tearing. While this is better than not having it on, I'd like if possible the best of both worlds.
After messing around in KDE with special window and application settings (which for some reason kept tearing even after having "enable tearing" forced to "no") and disabling compositors, I reckoned I'd ask for help.
I'm running X11 on Arch with a Nvidia RTX 2060, so I'm thinking that this could just be a Nvidia thing.
