I can’t really find anything about this so this is probably a long shot.

I’m running rocket league through heroic (arch if that matters). For some reason there seems to be a timeout on controller rumble.

It’s supposed to cause rumble when I boost which it does but if I hold boost for longer than about 3 seconds the vibration stops.

I tested rumble by triggering it manually and ofc it doesn’t timeout there. I’m wondering if anyone knows where this timeout might be originating.

Hi again, i switched from windows to linux, everything is done, the ONLY thing i probably want is to play genshin impact on linux, i know i need a launcher of sorts, but im relatively new to the system, that being the reason i choose Mint, If anybody can awnser me i would be grateful.

Launching "STAR WARS Battlefront II" through steam... (trying to play with friends)

Connecting to online servers works fine.. but attempting to connect to friends does not because I need the EA friends manager to work.

Anyone else having this problem? I'm on arch + hyprland.. tried the latest GE Proton, experimental proton bleeding edge, and even catchy OS proton.. I managed to launch the EALauncher.exe with Heroic and the friends list doesn't load over there either.

I began to think maybe it was a DNS issue? Using nextdns.. unless others are having the same problem.

I have an LG 4k 120hz TV I'm using on a 9070 xt and it's outputting ycbcr420 8bit. I can't seem to find any documentation online on how to change it to output PC RGB 10-bit. Any suggestions?

running cachyos and kde plasma on wayland. hdr works on desktop but can't seem to get it working in games on steam even when adding launch arguments

I am on linux (obviously) mint, and trying to launch the game with proton (linux version works, but is mod incompatible, which sucks), i tried most proton versions, none work

It always works until i start a new campaign, then i loads until about 95%, and just crashes

If someone is kind to tell me where the fuck is crash log, that would help (hope profanity is allowed here and post is not taken down)

Hello once more! I currently am trying to mod The Last Of Us Part 1 & 2 (and more games to come) thru Vortex, of which im running via Steam Tinker Launch, and every time i install a mod i get the "External Changes Detected" (i don't touch the actual files of the game, its all vortex) pop up. Another issue is that UNPSARC and ndarc dont display their progress when extracting the psarc files. I have yet to try vortex with any other game, though I believe the issue will continue. I think its stemming from the fact that I have no way (or probably don't know) how to allow it to use all my files.

Does anyone know the solution to this problem?

I'm using Fedora 42 KDE and NFS Heat opens in windowed mode with a black screen. After a while, I can press Alt + Enter and switch to full screen, the EA logo appears in the corner and the screen remains black.

I'm using Steam rpm and have tested several different protons. NOTE. Last month it was running normally. After formatting the system and clean installation this problem occurred.

Anyone else have this issue happen to them? Seems to always happen with Marvel rivals. No issues with fsck. Reinstalling the game seems to fix it for a bit and I'm wondering if it's something to do with my PC going on suspend maybe. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I'm currently using Arch

Edit: never seem to have this issue with Windows 11, only Linux

ok so for some weird ass reason far cry 5 REAALLY hates the 8bitdo wireless ultimate 2c, for no explicable reason! im not sure what it is that makes my controller unrecognizable but its driving me up the wall by now as theres no reasonable explanation for it to be completely ghosted by the application. but then again what the hell do i know? one day you wake up and suddenly steaminput is the devil for your controller and if its not disabled before startup it wont recognize any inputs either! euuuuhg. anyone know any fixes to my blight?

Been playing Star Citizen on Pop OS using Lutris for a while now. Yesterday, it prompted me to update the RSI Launcher. After the update, the launcher never opens and it just falls back to the main Lutris window after a couple seconds. I've made sure everything is updated, but still have this problem. Even tried removing and reinstalling, and I'm getting the same issue. The RSI Launcher log in Lutris shows the following:

Hey all - i was originally on arch with just a 3090. I started having hard crashes on idle, just solid frozen screen. Instantly made me think the 3090 was dying so i bought a 9070xt, still crashed. Nothing in the journal indicating anything abnormal. Reluctantly swapped back to windows to try to produce a BSOD message - nothing. Days of dickin' around, it turns out it was an issue with cstates on the 5950x.

Now that i've got that solved by just disabling cstates, I want to go back home to linux, but i've only ever had a single gpu and i want to do it 'right' from the start.

Obviously it's going to run much better with the AMD card and had earlier. The two cards are pretty on par in performance, but i do a lot of local AI stuff which makes me want to keep the 3090 in there. Have any of you run a similar setup? Main'ing the amd gpu and just having an nvidia card installed for compute?

I was working with a hodgepodge, chucked together mess prior. Suggestions on installing? Should i NOT install the proprietary driver at the beginning? Perhaps the open drivers would suffice since it's not going to render games etc, just compute and be a vram vessel?

I'd love to do it correctly and not just make a mess of the system again.

I have 2 boys (10 and 11) heavy steam players. They are both on Bazzite, but my youngest is having issues with it - system is running hot, not liking the KDE desktop, ect. Better to just reinstall at this point. Any suggestions?

Hi all,

I am new to the Linux gaming world and I need help. I have installed CS2 on my Bazzite OS. I am simply not able to get it to work with native 1440p fullscreen. Max I can go is 2048x1152 I have tried setting the launch options:

-w 2560 -h 1440 -fullscreen -noborder -nojoy -novid

But it did not help.

Anyone who has any ideas or fixes?

I'm trying to play Madness: Project nexus on Linux mint cinnamon, every 5 minutes or so, the game crashes and I can't alt tab, can't alt f4, alt f1-f6 doesn't work either, i can only leave it by holding the power button to reset my pc. I'm running it on proton 9.0.4. Specs: Cpu: Ryzen 5600G Gpu: RX 580 16 gb ram 1 Tb kingston ssd (about 600gb allocated to mint) Happy to provide other info
