so i know that mangohud is installed and works but i cant get the overlay because i tested it with a command (i dont excactly remember what it was) mangohud vkube or smth like that and the spinning cube showed up but no data of any sort if its even supposed to have any on it

also the data doesnt show up in goverlay either BUT it shows all the data i want in mangojuice?!?!!?!??! Do i let mangojuice make the file and could that be it?

i setupped my config file in GOverlay and my steam is native aswell as mangohud if im not entirely mistaken

i am on pop_os and system specs are rtx5070 R5 9600x 32 gigs of ddr5 6400mhz cl36 just in case you need that info

Hey there!

My laptop is running Pop Os 22.04, and I'm trying to remote play my Windows PC running Battlefield 6 over the internet.

Thing is, whenever I click "Connect" from the Steam library, I see a window pop up on my primary screen for not even half a second and it closes immediately. The "Connect" icon on my Steam Library goes from green to a blue "Stop" for a couple of seconds and then it switches back to "Connect", as if the remote play client was instantly crashing.

Thing is, randomly it will actually work and run, but when it does so my mouse cursor isn't being locked to my secondary monitor, which makes playing a FPS completely impossible as I keep clicking on my browser when I try to aim or shoot...

Do you have any idea what could be going on here ? (I'm running Steam flatpack if that's of any relevance)

How long should the installation script take to run? I let it run for 10, 15, and 20 minutes. I tried to shut down the dxsetup.exe process, but it didn’t help. I’m using Ubuntu 24.

Proton is having issues with my steel series mouse, from what I’ve read I might need to decrease the pulling rate? Dunno how to do that, help! (Video attatched shows issue, problem occurs with overwatch as well)

I don't want to use vsync because it adds input lag, I want the game to use freesync from my TV. In monitor settings I can see refresh rate says adaptive but there is clearly screen tearing so it's not working properly. Is there any command line or anything in steam to force using either freesync or HDMI's VRR?

I have a knock-off switch pro controller, which works on Windows 11 (last tested yesterday), but when I boot into Parrot OS and connect it (I have tried both a wired and a bluetooth connection), it doesn't register any input, and when I load ryujinx (which is what I'm planning on using the controller for), it doesn't register the existence of the controller. Does anybody know what the problem is. I have tried rebooting the controllers, testing multiple controllers, connecting both through bluetooth and wired connection. I am using ryujinx v1.1.1403, and 21.0 prod keys and firmware.

This I think I may just missed something during moving files around

So does it work okay? At first I wasn't getting anything but then I moved it to nvme and it launched lol. But I think I did force update at one point and only got part redownloaded during move around on hdds.

Doing a re-download now as was hoping to see what enhanced looked like. Don't really care about online just play through single tbh.
