Freeze/crash during gaming CS2 with Proton.
Hi,
So I'm having this issue - and I have no idea where to begin.
I've posted it on Discord, but I'll post here in case anyone know anything regarding the issue, or can pinpoint it for me in the errorlog - as I have little to no clue where to look / how to find it.
First things first; Setup:
* OS: Nobara Linux 41 (KDE Plasma) x86_64
* Kernel: Linux 6.13.2-200.nobara.fc41.x86_64
* Display (34C801): 3440x1440 @ 144 Hz in 34" [External]
* DE: KDE Plasma 6.2.5
* CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D (16) @ 5.27 GHz
* GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT [Discrete]
* RAM: Kingston FURY Beast RGB DDR5 6000MHz 32GB
* MOBO: Gigabyte X670 GAMING X AX V2
So far, I've mainly played CS2 with GE-Proton9-23 and 24.
After 15 minutes to 3 hours the system freeze for a bit (sound is still up on Discord), then everything goes black on the monitors, everything seems to reset/close and start up again.
The system doesn't reboot, but seemingly ever / a lot of processes restart, and when the system is back up after ~1 minute, no apps is running - as if I've just rebooted the system.
I'm posting this before having done a thorough troubleshoot, as I've yet to try Proton Experimental - nor have I tested other games properly.
But in hopes that anyone have experienced anything similar, and have the fix - here it is:

The file that is attached is the first time it happened after installing Nobara from scratch, and the text is after trying a few different 'fixes'.

Dayz legacy setup on Linux?
I'd like to run this for myself (offline) https://github.com/DayZLegacyDev/DayZ-Legacy-Launcher just to relive the very early days to see how the map has changed and to make me appreciate the changes.
ive played dayz on pop_os for the last 5 years just using GE Proton builds. Anyone know how to set this up and running on Linux?

Minecraft doesn't capture cursor
I've seen similar questions asked in the past, but I haven't seen a solution yet. Basically, whenever I launch the game, the cursor isn't glued to the centre of the window, instead it can leave the game window, letting the ingame camera stuck. I'm pretty sure that if I get it to the centre it then sticks, but it's very inconsistent. Is there a way to fix this? I'm using Prism Launcher on Fedora 41, with an NVidia RTX 2060 on a laptop

Benefits to switching to Linux?
So I know this is probably a frequently asked question around here but I got myself a PC with an NVIDIA RTX 3080 and an Intel I5 12th cpu I really have liked using Linux in the past and checked out the proton db website for comparability Now I really don't like windows and how much space it takes on my PC also I really enjoy Linux but my and my friends play a ton of online games together not any that use kernel level anticheats (We mostly play counter strike 2) which I know is nativey supported and we started marvel Rivals which I've heard works I'm a little worried about switching cause I'm just worried that not everything will work all the time I know the obvious awnser here is probably just suck it up and stick with windows but does anyone know of any problems just running games on Linux (I usually play single player games just finished half life 2 and playing through 1 now)

Wow classic suddenly has connection problems
'm experiencing problems playing wow classic on linux. Been playing wow on linux for 2 months now and had some minor problems that i was able to solve. But since yesterday my game has been unplayable at times. I would get disconnected from wow and then have problems logging in and staying logged in. it would take me 5-10 minutes to actually get inside the game again, only to be disconnected in less than a minute. This cycle continued for over 2 hours and then fixed itself. I tried rebooting, resetting my router, clearing cache, terminal commands like "sudo sysctl net.ipv4.ip_default_ttl=128" with no luck. Only solution i did not try was use a VPN. I know its a niche question since not many play on linux but would love to hear a solution for this apart from running it on windows :D.

Remote into linux machine to play games?
As the title says, I'm trying to find a way to remote into my linux machine to play minecraft as it runs like garbage on my other machines.
The only issue is my linux machine is a server that is not plugged into any displays so i've been using chrome remote desktop with cinnamon this whole time but that is super laggy and minecraft has cursor issues so it doesn't work.

Spent 99% of this time processing vulkan shaders.
I've tried changing the Nvidia drivers but it just causes more problems. I've only been using Ubuntu for my gaming PC for a few months. Why does it take so long to open the game?

Why install Nvidia driver on Fedora brick my Linux
My computer has RST, so Ubuntu is out of the question.
At least with Fedora, I can install it from a USB drive to an external SSD. Then I tried to install Nvidia driver, after reboot, the whole OS corrupt because something MOK/secure boot related. Why does a simple driver installation require you to go to BIOS, copy key and do all the janky shit.
Is there a simpler way to install Nvidia driver? Or is there a linux distro that have easy Nvidia driver installation like Ubuntu but without the whole RST shenanigan?

Valve ban advertising-based business models on Steam, no forced adverts like in mobile games
