Played Baldurs Gate 3 and Dark Souls 3 just fine

Tried messing with in game configs, but no better performance

tried looking it up, changing proton versions left and right and changing config files and nothing yet. nothing on protondb or anything.

Meu note tem 16gb RAM, e eu pensei q CS2 rodaria legal, ms ta ruim q so. A tela demora mto p atualizar. O povo diz q eh pq eu uso steam via flaktap, ms eh o unico jeito de rodar steam, nn faço ideia do pq. Eu pesquisei q so e coloquei um tal de vulcan no CS e deixei td no minimo, e n mudou NADA. Agr o estranho eh q teve um dia q dnd eu entrei e deu p jogar tranquilo, sem problema nenhum, e dps sem mudar nenhuma config, ta sem pegar direito. O problema eh q a tela demora q so p atualizar, ae fica impossivel de jogar

Hey everyone, I'm currently facing a bit of a dilemma and could really use some outside perspective.

I'm looking to treat myself to a GPU upgrade and have been doing some research to figure out what would best suit my needs. My current card is an RTX 3080 with 10GB of VRAM, which has started to feel limiting, especially in more demanding titles that keep pushing past that VRAM threshold.

After browsing around, I've narrowed it down to two AMD cards: the RX 7900 XTX and the RX 9070 XT. Both happen to be available at roughly the same price where I live, which honestly makes the choice harder than I expected.

One thing that stood out while going through benchmarks is that both cards seem to fall noticeably behind Nvidia in ray-traced workloads, and from what I've read this apparently holds true even on Linux, which is my main OS. That's a bit of a concern since I do enjoy games that lean into RT effects.

The other thing I haven't been able to find much on is VR performance. I use VR pretty regularly and it's honestly one of my main use cases, so it's not really something I can ignore. VR-specific benchmarks for these cards just seem really hard to come across.

So I guess my main questions are: which of the two is the better pick for Linux gaming, how bad is the ray tracing gap in practice, and how do they actually hold up in VR? Any insight or personal experience would be hugely appreciated!

First part of the game lacks textures all around, i don't want to continue playing because i don't know how long it will still happening.. does it happens to someone else?

Olá galera, gostaria de recomendações de jogos na steam, jogo em um notebook fraquinho então precisa ser alguns mais antigos. o processador é um celeron 6305 e uma tiger lake UHD graphics.

So far I managed to have Helldivers2 and Space Marine 2 up and running well, to the extend that Nvidia on Linux allows me to.

In the Video provided you see my mouse movement mis-interpreted as Controller-Stick-Left in all directions in SM2.

On HD2 I can fix this issue by moving the game to my second monitor with 'WIN+LEFT', this trick doesnt work on SM2 and is a general problem I faced so far in all of my (2) installed games.

Has somebody else had this problem before?

I recently picked up the LG 27GX790A 480 Hz monitor. When I set it to 480Hz, CS2 locks at 0Hz. https://imgur.com/a/vXIhIZK

There is no option for fullscreen which is why it's set at fullscreen windowed.

Any thoughts?

A couple of weeks ago, everything was working perfectly fine, but suddenly it stopped working. What could be the cause?

If I have a Linux system set up with Lutris and Wine and all my games installed into ~/.wine, can I just copy that folder to another Linux install and expect everything to work(Debian -> Fedora)? Or is it better practice to use separate Wine prefixes per game, store them on a disk, and re-attach/import those prefixes on another system?

Basically trying to figure out the most reliable and portable way to manage Wine game installs across systems.

Also during setups for games, do I need to also install certain dependencies like directX, c++ retribution and etc...?
