Wine: development release 11.19 released

Wine, the compatibility layer for running Windows applications on Linux, has been released in the development version 11.19.

This release brings Unicode 18.0.0, more SCSI and DVD IOCTLs in mountmgr, a cache for dnsapi including hosts file support, and color management for Vulkan in winewayland. faudio was also updated to version 26.10. Overall, the release includes around 350 changes compared to version 11.18.

Here is a selection of changes from the commit log:

  • unicode: Update to Unicode 18.0.0.
  • mountmgr: New IOCTLs for SCSI (SCSI_PASS_THROUGH, SCSI_GET_ADDRESS, SCSI_GET_CAPABILITIES and more), DVD (DVD_GET_REGION, DVD_READ_STRUCTURE, DVD_END_SESSION) and CDROM_CHECK_VERIFY.
  • dnsapi: Cache, hosts file support in DnsQuery_UTF8(), DnsGetCacheDataTable() and further fixes.
  • winewayland: color-management-v1 protocol support for Vulkan color spaces, plus sRGB color space for sRGB pixel formats (also in winex11).
  • win32u/opengl32: Rework of OpenGL context handling (root contexts, wglCreateContextAttribsARB attributes) and fixed minimum width of toolwindows.
  • dinput/winebus/xinput1_3: Link collections for HID joysticks, hat switches in separate collections, “disabled” controllers are no longer enumerated.
  • vbscript: Many improvements for keywords and “Name redefined” errors.
  • cmd: Reworked command line parsing, buffer overflows in search_command() fixed.
  • d2d1: Color Management effect stub.
  • ntdll: Validation of the release count in NtReleaseSemaphore, zero group affinity is treated as full group affinity.
  • Numerous bug fixes in mf, mfplat, mshtml, rsaenh, oleaut32 and other modules.
