Proton Wineland has been released in version 11.0-20261015.

Proton Wineland is a fork of Proton-CachyOS, a compatibility layer for running Windows games on Linux with extra patches and optimizations.

The update reduces load times in The Witcher 3, lowers CPU overhead from Steam callback polling and brings Wine stability fixes. DXVK and vkd3d-proton were also updated.

Wineland Fixes:

• The Witcher 3: Reduced unnecessary controller scanning delay, which should help with very long load times.
• Reduced CPU overhead when games repeatedly poll Steam callbacks.

Bleeding-edge and upstream cherry picks:

• Imported Wine stability fixes for thread startup, exception handling and debugger compatibility, including a 32-bit exception-stack issue.

Other Components:

• Updated DXVK and vkd3d-proton.
