Proton Wineland has been released in version 11.0-20261011.

Proton Wineland is a fork of Proton-CachyOS, a compatibility layer for running Windows games on Linux with extra patches and optimizations.

The update fixes stuttering in The Witcher 3, improves fullscreen monitor selection and brings back native HDR signalling for overlays. DXVK and vkd3d-proton were also updated.

Wineland Fixes

• Addressed stuttering issues in The Witcher 3 through optimization of network adapter enumeration during connectivity verification
• Enhanced fullscreen monitor selection functionality when adjusting window positions, reconfiguring monitor layouts, or reconnecting display devices
• Reintroduced native HDR signalling capabilities for overlays
• The PROTON_WAYLAND_STEAM_OVERLAY=0 setting now completely deactivates Steam’s overlay during Wayland sessions

• Updated DXVK and vkd3d-proton to latest upstream versions
• Continued development work toward experimental ARM64/ARM64EC build support
• Integrated numerous bleeding-edge improvements and Wine upstream cherry-picks
