The Crust has left Early Access and is now available in version 1.0 on Steam - including a native Linux port.
In this building and automation game, you set up a colony on the Moon, mine resources and automate their processing with conveyor belts and drones. It currently costs 19.49 € (regularly 29.99 €, currently 35% off).
Version 1.0 brings the completed story campaign with multiple endings, a new Planning Mode with a road-building tool, an online leaderboard, and random global events such as meteorite strikes, solar flares and epidemics. Performance has also been improved significantly.
The Crust 1.0 is OUT NOW with the new Planning Mode, a new road tool, a leaderboard, the completed story campaign, new visuals, optimization, new maps, new modules, and much, much more.
macOS and Linux ports - We have done a lot of work and fully ported the game to macOS and Linux.
Planning Mode - The game now includes a Planning Mode that lets you lay out a construction plan for modules and conveyors, with convenient copying of modules together with their recipes.
Roads - The game now has a very convenient tool for building roads and parking, which speeds up cargo truck traffic. Trucks pick the shortest route themselves.
Optimization - Reworked logistics algorithms gave a substantial FPS boost on large bases: 100-200%, with the weaker your PC, the bigger the gain. RAM usage and save file size have also been optimized.
Completed story campaign - A complete story with multiple endings and thought-provoking questions for reflection and discussion.
Global Events - Meteorites, Solar Flares and Epidemics now randomly threaten your base and colonists.
Sandbox 2.0 - Choose your starting position on the Moon, with varied resource compositions, new Custom Game settings, and 4 new maps.
