Proton Wineland has been released in version 11.0-20260913.

Proton Wineland is a fork of Proton-CachyOS, a compatibility layer for running Windows games on Linux with extra patches and optimizations.

Following version 11.0-20260910 with its HUD latency bugfix, this release brings further improvements: the D3D12 presentation timing issue that could trigger freezes has been resolved. There’s also a hidden HUD mode with keyboard toggle (Ctrl+Shift+O), plus various game compatibility fixes for titles like Warcraft III, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Ragnarok.

HUD Enhancements:

  • Resolved a D3D12 presentation timing issue that could trigger freezes
  • Introduced a hidden mode option with keyboard toggle capability (Ctrl+Shift+O)
  • Added graphics API identification in preset displays

Wineland Fixes:

  • Reduced presentation overhead by reusing clipping calculations and buffer imports
  • Addressed synchronization and surface lifetime complications in direct-toplevel presentation
  • Improved HDR detection methodology

Additional Updates:

  • Multiple game compatibility fixes (Warcraft III, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ragnarok)
