Nearcade: version 3.0.3 released

Nearcade has been released in version 3.0.3.

Nearcade is a remote arcade gaming platform that lets players stream and play games together over the internet - as a desktop app (Electron) and an Android app.

The new version brings a game launcher with voice chat, support for WebCodecs SVC (Scalable Video Coding), tunnel provider integrations, and a DRM capture feature built on Electron 34.

  • Game Launcher with Voice Chat: New launcher supporting DRM capture and tunnel provider integrations, built on Electron 34.
  • WebCodecs SVC: Scalable Video Coding support for improved streaming quality.
  • Auto-Capture: Automatic capture on game launch with a loading spinner.
  • Heroic Filtering: Game list limited to installed titles only, plus artCover asset support.
  • Tournament Mode: Right chat panel now hidden automatically, mode applies on page load, and Pusher disconnects correctly when toggled.
  • Launcher Detection Fixes: Corrected Heroic library paths and fixed Lutris flatpak database locations.
  • Latency Fixes: Resolved bugs in WebCodecs hot-swap restarts, capture method chaining, and settings hydration.
