Repel the Rifts is now out of Early Access and officially at 1.0! This update brings new biome-specific Commander skills, cursed artifacts, an events update, skins for the rest of the towers, performance improvements, and a lot of polish.

Biome Commander Skills: Each biome now grants your Commander a pair of unique skills. Dig for resources in the Desert biome, summon a Fungal Mass in the Lush biome, crack open a Fissure to strip a demon’s armor in the Volcanic biome, or call down a Blizzard that grows stronger through the night in the Icy biome.

New Artifacts and Cursed Artifacts: I’ve added a batch of new artifacts, along with a brand new category: Cursed Artifacts. Curses add a lasting drawback to your run, like only being able to deploy one tower a day, or towers needing a day to “boot up” after being placed.

Market Bans: You now start each run with 3 market bans and earn another one every 5 days.

Skins for Every Tower: The remaining 10 towers now have skins as well, which means every tower in the game can be customized.

Performance: A lot of you mentioned slowdowns in the late game, and I spent a good chunk of this update tackling it. Busy end-game maps with tons of towers and demons should now run much, much smoother.
