Ein neues Steam-Client-Update vom 21. Oktober 2026 für den Linux-Desktop und das Steam Deck wurde auf Steam veröffentlicht (Steam-Deck-Variante: Steam).

Das Update behebt unter Linux vor allem hängende Vulkan-Spiele nach Alt-Tab und einen Fall, in dem die Updater-Oberfläche nicht angezeigt wurde. Dazu kommen kleinere Fixes bei der Anzeige des Steam-Service-Fehlerdialogs, bei Datumsangaben und den Zertifikatssperrlisten.

Steam Client Update - October 21st (Desktop)

A new Steam Client update has been released and will be automatically downloaded.

General

• Fixed some cases the Steam Service Error dialog was showing incorrectly if you quit/restarted Steam quickly.
• Fixed an error displaying dates for users in British Columbia.
• Updated certificate revocation lists.

Remote Play

• Fixed a memory leak using NVENC to stream H.264 using unlimited bandwidth from Windows computers.

Linux

• Fixed Vulkan games hanging after alt-tab.
• Fixed a case where Steam updater UI would fail to show for some users.
