Für das Lovecraft-Adventure Dagon: by H. P. Lovecraft ist das finale Update samt dem kostenlosen DLC “What the Moon Brings” auf Steam erschienen.

Dagon ist ein kurzes, narratives Horror-Adventure nach H. P. Lovecraft und läuft unter Linux per Proton. Der neue DLC ist in einer Kaffeepause durchspielbar, bietet VR- und Steam-Deck-Unterstützung und enthält zudem erweiterte Trivia, eine katalanische Übersetzung, ein neues Achievement und einen Engine-Wechsel samt Optimierungen und Bugfixes.

It’s been a long and exciting ride since 24 September 2021. What started as a small narrative experiment has exceeded our expectations, breaking 2 million downloads, spawning three DLCs and receiving over 12,000 overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam.

Dagon: by H. P. Lovecraft has been reviewed by major youtubers, streamers and magazines and even used as a teaching aid to get new audiences interested in the Cthulhu Mythos.

We couldn’t have done it without you - we’d like to thank everyone who helped make Dagon successful. From volunteer testers who helped us shape the game by playing its early iterations we shared on reddit, through everyone who took time to leave their reviews on Steam, GOG and other platforms, to those who grabbed DLCs and helped us raise over 70,000$ for charity causes (expected to reach over 90,000$ by the end of the year), youtubers and streamers who spread the unholy gospel, and everyone else who answered the call of the Great Old Ones and simply jumped into the game.

In order to celebrate the 5 year anniversary and thank you for your support throughout the years, we’ve just released the final update for Dagon, featuring a free DLC based on Lovecraft’s nightmare that can be completed during a coffee break and lets you explore a surreal dreamscape. Like Dagon, The Little Glass Bottle and The Railway Horror, What the Moon Brings also features VR and Steam Deck support.

Apart from the new DLC, the update includes:

• expanded trivia developed in collaboration with Lovecraft scholar Mikołaj Kołyszko
• a new Catalan translation by Projecte Ce Trencada
• a new Achievement
• an upgrade to a new engine, optimisations and bug fixes
