BedrockOnLinux: Minecraft-Bedrock-Launcher in Version 2.2.10 veröffentlicht

Minecraft starts and downloads again after Microsoft changed its sign-in token, and Minecraft Preview 1.26.70 starts on the new engine, native21. PLAY reaches the game sooner and says why when Microsoft refuses the licence, PlayStation controllers work in the game, and old server resource packs no longer fill the disk.

Fixed

  • Minecraft starts and downloads again: Since 2026-10-12 every PLAY ended at once with a licensing error. Microsoft changed the format of the sign-in token the licence request carries (401 InvalidMsaTicketFormat). The downloader now sends the token in the form the service accepts. A refused licence request also reports the HTTP status and Microsoft’s reason now.
  • PLAY reaches the game about a second sooner: The Wine registry is now read once instead of being rescanned for each value, and the Microsoft token refresh runs while the prefix is prepared. Measured from PLAY to the game process: about 2.4 s before, 1 s after.
  • Missing system locale is named: The Steam Linux Runtime always needs en_US.UTF-8; when it is missing, every launch costs 3 to 6 seconds more. PLAY now says which locale is missing and how to add it.
  • Minecraft Preview 1.26.70 starts: Engine native21 no longer refuses a build that asks for a newer Gaming Services version. The Preview’s window opened on 7 launches out of 7, against 0 out of 5 before.
  • DualSense and DualShock 4 controllers work in the game: PLAY now sets the option this engine reads, so the controller reaches the game as an Xbox-style gamepad. BOL_HIDRAW=all turns it off.
  • Launcher no longer hides on ordinary desktops: Only the properties Gamescope itself writes count as Steam Game Mode now.
  • Injected clients on the Legacy renderer: PLAY warns that clients like Flarial need Direct3D 12 and do not work with the Legacy renderer.
  • Systems without libunwind (e.g. Guix): The fullscreen fix, the virtual-desktop bridge and DLL injection now run there too.
  • Sign-in message: A refused saved sign-in is no longer blamed on the Xbox profile; PLAY asks to sign out and in again.
  • Light theme: Drop-down lists, right-click menus and tooltips are readable on any desktop.
  • Old server resource packs are cleaned up: One prefix held 4.8 GB in 300,000 files after a week of play. Before each launch, old pack versions not written to for 7 days are removed when a newer version is cached.

Packaging

  • Engine native21 differs from native20 only in the Gaming Services version check.
  • The Minecraft downloader is the reviewed 64d39eb87a56-p7.
