Für Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball ist mit Update 10.2 ein weiteres Update auf Steam erschienen, das auch unter Linux läuft.

Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball ist ein Multiplayer-Shooter, bei dem Einrad-Roboter in neongetränkten Disco-Arenen mit Dodgebällen aufeinander losgehen. Die wichtigste Neuerung: Externes Audio kann nun die Musik-Visualizer beeinflussen, auch unter Linux. Dazu kommen ein verbesserter Netzwerkcode und ein Ping pro Lobby-Host. Update 10.2

External Audio can now affect music visualizers! Go to options / audio and check ‘Auto’, and the game will detect audio streams from available media players. Or pick your application from the list. (The application must already be open). Should work on Windows, OSX, and Linux (but let me know if it doesn’t work for you)

• The in-game soundtrack will lower when external audio is detected
• The Previous Track / Next Track controls work on most external audio players, and the currently playing song will show in ’now playing’

Misc Improvements

• Reorganized custom audio controls. ‘Edit’ button now opens playlist with checkboxes for Soundtrack, Workshop, and custom audio folder. You can still enable or disable any songs on this combined playlist.
• Added new visualization patterns in Radius
• Improved scoreboard displays (some still need some work)
• Improved menu buttons (some still need some work)
• Chat log no longer disappears during replay
• Improved network code for lower latency, better movement prediction, and better match-state synchronization
• Improved logic for finding best Host within a lobby
• The ping column now shows your estimated ping to each lobby’s host. Before, it always showed 0.
• Correct glyphs show up in Controls panel when using a controller
• Chat, player names, and lobby names now use Steam’s text filtering (based on your own content settings)
