Insurance Fraud ist ab sofort mit voller Linux-Unterstützung auf Steam erhältlich.

Das Spiel deutet Blackjack als Roguelike-Deckbuilder um: Das eigene Guthaben dient zugleich als Lebensanzeige, Shop-Budget und Fortschrittsbalken, und neben dem reinen Kartenwert zählen Kombinationen wie Paare, Straights, Flushes oder Full Houses, die jeweils eigene Multiplikatoren bringen und sich stapeln lassen. Fünf Dealer, sieben Decks und sechs Schwierigkeitsstufen (“Ascensions”) warten, dazu Sonderkarten wie die Rainbow Nine oder die Void Card.

Der Name ist allerdings nicht sonderlich glücklich gewählt: Mit echtem Versicherungsbetrug hat das Spiel nichts zu tun - es gibt weder Einsätze noch echtes Geld oder Preise. Die Entwickler widmen dem Titel auf der Store-Seite sogar einen eigenen Abschnitt und stellen klar: “The insurance is fictional. So is the fraud.”

Der Preis liegt bei 5,19 Euro, zum Release aktuell 10 % reduziert auf 4,67 Euro.
