Darts RPG, ein Rollenspiel rund um Kneipendarts, ist mit einer kostenlosen Demo auf Steam erschienen.

In dem Spiel schlüpft man in die Rolle eines Neulings in der Kleinstadt Froglington, tritt in der lokalen Dartsliga an, erledigt Nebenjobs für die Einwohner und verbessert seine Würfe mit einem Karten-ähnlichen “Coaster”-System.

Aktuell gibt es ausschließlich diese Demo, die laut den Entwicklern 2-4 Stunden Inhalt bietet. Die Vollversion soll Anfang nächsten Jahres folgen.

With our full release coming early next year, in this demo you can jump in and start playing in our first pub league at the Hat & Horse, beat the locals, and become champion. (Approx 2-4 hours content) A small selection of coasters are available for you to try by purchasing from the newsagent, and you can explore around town and chat to any locals you might find wandering around, one or two of them might have a little job for you to do too.

Welcome to Froglington, a town where ambition goes to die and the only thing cheaper than hope is lager. You’ve just lost your job at the local gravy mine. You’re skint and your rent’s overdue. But fate, or possibly the parish council, has other plans. The local pub darts league is offering a grand prize of £300.

Building on the classic darts experience, in Darts RPG you’ll be able to live out your fantasy of becoming the best darts player in town, but with a few extra twists. Challenge the other players in town, level up your player to improve your darts skills, and eventually enter the pub league when you think you’re ready. Coasters are playable “boost” cards to improve your in-game darts, or distract your opponent - buy them at the local shop, find them around town, or win them in darts matches.
