FreeSpace 2 Open: Version 26.0.0 veröffentlicht

FreeSpace 2 Open (FSO), die quelloffene Engine für den Weltraum-Klassiker FreeSpace 2, wurde in der Version 26.0.0 veröffentlicht.

Das neue Release bringt neben mehreren Bugfixes auch einige Verbesserungen für Missionsersteller und die interne Engine-Struktur mit.

Features & Improvements:

  • Unified briefing map render paths
  • QtFRED mission stats dialog
  • Shared table viewer (unifying text loading across lab and editor UIs)
  • Cache Animation submodel by model id
  • Refactored weapon spew stats functionality
  • Enhanced utility functions

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed “Select All” HUD color slider ordering issue
  • Fixed “Target Nearest Attacking Ship” in multiplayer scenarios
  • Fixed memory error when culling active games list
  • Fixed virtual POF crashes (double deletion and filename issues)
  • Fixed QtFRED ship list dialog issues
  • Removed waypoint position redundancy by delegating to game object
  • Fixed mainhall music continuing during mission loop brief
  • Fixed mongoose server restart crashes on Windows
  • Fixed libpcp error handling to prevent endless loops
  • Added interpolation frame check for support ships
  • Removed dead code for AI modes
